Chapter 7: Obtaining the Sword of Fire

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"We're here," Zephania said.

In front of them was a very large door. It seemed untouched and clean from despite the dust that lies within the Temple of Fire. The large door had weird lines and dashes that Blaise was unable to identify. Not only that, but the large door had a fire symbol with a sword as well as a red orb in the center. Surrounding this 'Sword of Fire' were people and creatures that were associated with fire.

"This is so cool!" Blaise exclaimed.

Autumn nodded in agreement. He had never been to such a place or had never seen something as ancient as this before.

"How do we open this?" Blaise asked.

"Place your hand on it," Zephania replied.

"Okay," Blaise said.

Blaise immediately placed his hand on the giant door. "Now what?"

"Say what you're here for and it'll open," Zephania said.

"Why don't you do it then? You know why we're here" Blaise asked, removing his hand from the door.

"The door will not only open just for the person adventuring through here, but it'll also take in the information of your background. No matter who it is, it'll open for anyone and in there, there will be difficult obstacles to reach for the Sword of Fire depending on how you answer the door. And you, Blaise, are the chosen one to be given the Sword of Fire. Not me."

"What do I say then?" Blaise asked.

"Say whatever's on your mind," Zephania replied.

"But I don't want to get it wrong." Blaise pouted.

"Blaise, there's no wrong answer to answering a door with a desire. It's a very simple task to complete." Zephania said.

Blaise puffed and sighed before placing his hand on the door. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, he dived into his mind. There was only silence and both Autumn and Zephania watched him silently.

"Please open and let me get the Sword of Fire so that I don't have to stay in this temple anymore. Oh, and please make the obstacle easy for me. I don't want to die yet because Fred is waiting for me. Thank you, Temple of Fire."

Autumn sweatdropped at Blaise. "Jussst when I thought he would be ssseriousss about something for once..."

"As you wish, Sir Blaise Hayes." spoke a deep voice.

The giant door creaked as it slowly opened itself. A slight gust of wind blew towards Blaise as Blaise used his arms to block the wind from flying right into his face. Autumn and Zephania walked beside Blaise as the cold, yet warm wind flew towards them softly.

"See. Easy." Zephania said.

The wind had stopped and Blaise removed his arms from his face. His ruby-red eyes glimmered in excitement in front of him.

The room was covered in gold with various treasures surrounding the room. A light beamed down from the ceiling to the middle where the Sword of Fire rests. It was a very simple room, yet beautiful as the room shimmered with its gold walls. On the golden walls were sparkly red rubies that were surrounded by stems of Marigolds.

"Welp, that wasss easssy than exxxpected..." Autumn said.

"Yeah, and look! The Sword of Fire is right there too." Blaise pointed.
