Blaise's Character
Blaise, a young boy who is perceived as childish but a child with a strong soul. Originally, I planned Blaise to be brave and have traits that a Shonen protagonist would have (brave, strong-willed, persistent, etc). As seen through some battle scenes, he does present those traits. Unfortunately, I ended up writing Blaise as a cowardly character. Despite his coward character, I found a good side to it. When writing a story, especially ones that involve characters, story, growth, etc, character development is important. With that in mind, I now plan to develop Blaise's character from a weak boy into a strong man. I hope to succeed in writing Blaise into the character I originally planned him to be!
Zephania
Zephania, a mysterious old man who is quite intelligent and knowledgeable of the fantasy world, Fantasía. I won't reveal Zephania's character but I originally planned him to go with Blaise throughout Blaise's journey. I decided not to when reaching the end of Orb Guardians: Fire [Volume 1]. The reason is that Blaise would continue to rely on Zephania for everything. It's understandable that if you're brought into a new world with a person who knows about it, you'll rely on them. Without Zephania, Blaise is forced to depend on Nix and Xidrem but the two creatures don't have as much knowledge as Zephania does in the modern world of Fantasía. With that in mind, Blaise is forced to learn about Fantasía by himself in order to grow. If you wonder where Zephania is and what he's doing, he's taking care of some business...
Autumn
Autumn, the Red Snake of the North Fire Desert. I planned Autumn to be the mascot alongside Blaise but decided not to. With Nix and Xidrem tagging with Blaise on his journey, Autumn doesn't play a role much. Autumn's more of the tsundere and straight man type of character. Nix possesses knowledge from the Fire Guardian that can be passed down to Blaise. Xidrem also possesses knowledge and power to lend Blaise when needed. Autumn's pretty much useless but his talks with Blaise, as seen throughout the story, can help Blaise realize things. I plan to bring Autumn back in a much later arc so Autumn isn't gone forever yet!
