Chapter 9: The Red Orb of Fire
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"You all ready?" asked Zephania.
"Yessss," Autumn replied.
"Yes," Nix replied.
"Almost," Blaise replied.
"Hurry up." Autumn groaned.
"Wait," Blaise said, sticking out his tongue.
The Sword of Fire was wrapped around Blaise's back with strong vines that Zephania had picked out and tied together to. The vines were wrapped around Blaise's shoulders like a backpack.
Blaise then finished fixing his scarf wrapped around his neck. "Done!"
"Geez. Why do you even wear that ssscarf?" Autumn asked.
"My mom gave it to me and I like this scarf." Blaise pouted.
Autumn sighed, shaking his head before slithering onto Zephania.
"Ah, what about your shirt, Blaise?" Nix asked.
"My shirt...?" Blaise said, looking down at his shirt.
The bottom half was torn, revealing his belly button. He then remembered the past event and gripped onto his shirt.
"It's okay. At least it's still intact. That's all that matters." Blaise grinned.
"You sure? I can fix it for you on the way." Zephania offered.
Blaise shook his head. "It's okay. I was stupid about being mad for having a piece of fabric ripped off. Plus, I kind of like it like this."
"Whatever you say," Zephania said.
"Let'sss get going," Autumn said.
"Okay, okay..." Blaise childishly whined.
Both Zephania and Blaise began walking into the forest. Autumn rested on Zephana's shoulders and Nix rested on Blaise's shoulders. The four began their way into the forest to their final destination, the Volcano of True Fire.
On their way there, Blaise discovered new creatures he has yet to encounter in Fantasía, the Overworld and even some that existed on Earth; there were also plants he had never seen.
Creatures such as Spit-Fire Salamanders, Fire Insects, even more Phoenixes, Fire-Winged Butterflies, and more. As for the plants, according to Zephania, there were Fire Stars which literally looked like stars in the color of Fire spurring out, Passionate Sun which was the color of yellow and had wavy petals, and other fiery-looking plants.
The path they took was rather peaceful and non-challenging. The sound of nature brushing with the wind was calming like how the waves from earlier washed ashore. The little sounds made by the creatures nearby would occur once in a while, sometimes ruining their silent walk.
"We're here," Zephania said.
"Never had I thought of the Volcano of True Fire being thisss big..." Autumn said in awe.
"Wow! It's my first time seeing an actual volcano and actually standing in front of it! It's so cool!!" Blaise squealed.
"Oh... Well, enjoy the view while you still can." Zephania smiled.
"I-wait, what did you say?" Blaise asked.
"Nothing. Let's head in."
"Head in? How? Isn't there hot lava in there that'll burn us?" Blaise asked.
