Chapter 6: Training Time!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the very next day...

    "Punch that tree?" Blaise asked.

Zephania nodded. "You passed the first course and now you must pass the second course. Once you complete your second course, we can head to the third course and to the final."

Blaise looked at the tree where he once punched. The pain was horrible but now, Blaise felt much stronger. Clenching his fist, Blaise looked up at Zephania with a confident grin plastered on his face.

    "Let's do this."

Standing in front of the same tree his weak self once punched, Blaise stared at it with pure determination. Zephania and Autumn watched from the front, proud to see how confident Blaise was. Blaise had given his gloves to Zephania, trusting Zephania since Autumn attempted to eat his gloves.

Five... four... three... two... one... go!!

Blaise punched the tree with the strength he had. Landing his fist on the tree, the tree was given strong damage, but not enough to make the tree fall. Blaise stood back as he held onto his right wrist.

His right fist began bleeding and turned red in pain. This time though, the pain was less painful than the first time.

"Gramps, heal my fist!" Blaise shouted.

Zephania nodded silently before walking up to heal Blaise's fist. "Healing Technique: Stage One."

A calming color of green aura emitted from Zephania's palms that had been summoned with a green circle. As the green aura emitted from the circle, Blaise's fists slowly healed. His fist was beginning to turn back into its original color and the blood on his fist disappeared.

"Punching the tree again?" asked Autumn.

Blaise nodded. "I don't want to let that time of running go to waste!"

    Autumn and Zephania chuckled.

"Itsss good to sssee you in good ssspiritssss," Autumn said.

Zephania nodded in agreement. "It is."

Blaise grinned. "Well, you two better watch me punch this tree down. I'll make sure to punch it down today!"

"As much as I love your determination to bring this tree down, it's not going to be that easy. Sure, you gained much more stamina in terms of speed, but your strength may not last long." Zephania explained.

"So what? I can just try again, right?" Blaise said.

Zephania smiled. "I won't stop you."

Blaise smiled before looking at the tree, ready to punch it more.

From there, Blaise continued punching the tree. Punch the tree, painful fists, healing his fists, and doing it all over again. The tree was half-way down from the impacts of his punches.

Hours had passed and the trio had done nothing. Blaise continued punching the tree, Autumn rested on the branch of the tree Blaise was punching, and Zephania was standing next to Blaise.

Blaise had collapsed once Zephania had healed his fists for the many times he had punched the tree. Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead, his orange jacket left on the dirt, and his black gloves messily place on top of his orange jacket.
