Hmm, should I go with this one or that one? "Alex, what do you think? This one or this one?" I questioned her as I held up two bottles of nail polish.
"Definitely that one," Amber filled in for Alex.
We were all at the salon getting glammed up for homecoming later tonight. Everyone was here: me, Clarissa, Alex, Claire, Cordelia, Heather, and Amber. You already know me, Clarissa, Alex and Heather, let me introduce the others.
Claire is your total goody two shoes, well that's what she seems like if you don't really know her, let's just say her parents don't really know her. She's blonde and absolutely gorgeous. She juggles at least four boyfriends a month, gets different things out of them. One is for rides, the other for homework, the third for sex, and the last for food. She has it all planned out.
Cordelia is the foreign exchange student from the United Kingdom, she's amazing! We are really her only friends, but we still love her! She lives with Claire's family.
Amber is a brunette and really smart, if I didn't live here, she'd definitely be the smartest person at Ocean View. Her dad owns like a ton of Nordstrom's so she's very privileged.
"So how are you and Aiden?" Claire asked Alex.
"Good, I guess. I mean I don't really know," she replied. Alex was never really good with expressing her feelings.
"Well have you guys had sex yet?" Claire asked.
"No," Alex said with a touch of embarrassment running through her voice.
"Oh, well hopefully you'll get some tonight," Claire replied wiggling her eyebrows.
"Claire!" We screeched and she shrugged her shoulders and carried on telling her stylist what she demanded.
.
.
"You look amazing girls!" Miranda exclaimed.
"Beautiful!" Our mom said. Yeah that's right my mom and her new family were at the house for some unknown reason. Sure it was homecoming, but come on this is my third one, not the first or last.
"You look very nice," dad said. This had to be really hard for him.
The doorbell's sound went throughout the house and my step-dad answered it, Matt was outside holding a rose, white of course, with his left hand. Red's just too cliché, but hey cliché can be fabulous. Then pulling his other hand from behind his back was a bouquet of red roses. "Well?"
"It's oh so cliché," I said with a smile spread across my face.
"Okay, come on everyone, picture time," my mom said getting her camera out.
Why do we have to do this every time something eventful happens? Can't we just rely on our brains for memories like normal people? Oh wait, normal people don't do that? Why can't we be like weirdos?
.
.
Clarissa and Evan waited at the house for Clarissa's friends to come pick them up in their limo.
So it was just me, Matt, Aiden, Alex, Dallas and Andrew. Andrew attends Ocean view and asked Dallas to go with him. They're super cute together.
We told the driver to drive slower since we wanted to make an entrance. Slow walk-ins are so cliche but don't you remember, I like cliché.
"To the best homecoming ever," Alex said as we smiled for a selfie. Don't ever be ashamed of taking a lot of selfies.
"Okay, so you're staying over tonight right?" I questioned Alex. My dad was letting me have all of my friends over including Clarissa's friends.
"Yeah, it's all set," Alex replied with a grin. We were looking forward to this ever since probably a month ago.
"I thought we were gonna do stuff tonight," Aiden quietly said to Alex.
"Not tonight Aiden," she whispered back.
"Why not?" He asked a little harshly if you ask me.
The rest of the limo ride went okay I guess, if you consider having a couple fight about why they aren't having sex that night okay.
The limo driver pulled up to the hotel and yes, I got my cliché moment.
