"I love you like a love song baby," blasted from my phone. Aww, I remember when Matt and I were like freshman and he put that on my phone. Wait, 4:27 am? What the hell?
"What?" I groaned answering the phone.
"Are you drunk?" Matt asked confused.
"What? No you woke me up," I hissed.
"It's 11:30 basically, Lauren!" Matt exclaimed.
"Uh no, it's 4:27 am here," I replied rolling my eyes.
"Oh. Well I think you need to explain the picture from last night," Matt said.
"The picture with Brody? He's gay Matt, nothing's ever going to happen."
"Well why didn't you call yesterday for our anniversary?" He asked.
"Fuck, that what yesterday? Matt, I'm sorry. It's so hard to keep up with all of time change shit," I muttered. I was half awake right now too.
"It's fine. I get it, this whole time thing sucks," Matt replied sighing.
"So how's Cali?" I questioned. Might as well talk since I'm up.
"It's good. Kinda cold. What about Australia?" He questioned.
"It's good. Oh I might not be able to talk to you for a while, there's a big tropical storm coming and we don't know how long it's gonna last. I'll call you ASAP," I added.
We spent the next hour talking about how much fun I was having in Australia. I told him about all of my friends and where they were from. I also told him about my teachers and mentors...and the food, oh my gosh, it was amazing! I'm going back to Huntington Beach fat.
