"Hey I'm back!" I heard Miranda exclaim followed by the door slamming shut.
"We're in here!" I called from the living room. Ellie and I were watching Disney Channel re-runs and Ellie seemed to be enjoying Hannah Montana. After the fifth episode she got "Best of Both Worlds" down and started singing along.
"Ooh Hannah Montana," Miranda said as she walked in.
"Her brother is really funny," Ellie said in an "as-a-matter-of-fact" tone.
"Is that so?" Miranda questioned.
"How's your sister?" I asked standing up.
"She's good. So are you all packed for Australia?"
"Yeah. Is it cool if I stay over at like Alex's or Matt's tonight?" I wondered. I wanted to spend as much time as I could with them.
"Yeah. Have fun, I'll bring your stuff, on your bed right? And just please make sure you're at the airport on time," Miranda replied.
"Yeah, on my bed. And yes, I'm always two hours early to the airport, and thanks for letting me go," I said and hugged her goodbye.
My first stop was going to be Alex's, hopefully Scott was there so I could kill two birds with one stone.
"Hey why are you here?" Alex asked opening her front door.
"I'm going to Australia tomorrow, for a month," I said really fast so I could just get it over with.
"Why?" She yelled.
"That law thing, I was accepted," I said and then Scott came to the door. Oh thank god.
"What's going on why are you yelling?" Scott asked annoyed.
"Lauren's going to fucking Australia without me!" Alex yelled throwing her hands up in the air.
"What?" Scott asked confused.
"It's something for wanting to be a lawyer. Look Alex I know Australia is your favorite continent and you've always dreamed of going there, but this is really important to me, and I'm still going to go no matter what," I said.
"I'm not mad, I just don't know what I'm going to do without you for a month!" Alex exclaimed and pulled me into a hug, which Scott soon joined.
"Take care of Matt," I whispered and Alex nodded. "Bye."
.
.
"Hey?" Matt questioned as he opened the door and it revealed me. Immediately I ran up and hugged him and he seemed surprised. "What's wrong?"
"I'm gonna miss you," I said sniffling and slightly laughing.
"Are you going somewhere?" He questioned raising his eyebrows.
"I'm going to Australia for a month," I responded softly. "Can we talk upstairs?"
Once we were upstairs in his room, we started talking about Australia. At first we sat on the carpet in his room then I got frustrated and stood up and started pacing and then he trapped me against the wall. He wrapped his arms around me and pressed me even harder against the wall.
I bit my bottom lip and looked into his eyes, his pupils getting smaller as I look into them. I want to kiss him like there's no tomorrow and I know he wants it too, it's just so hard since we always stop before we get too serious.
"I love you, Lauren," Matt croaked and smashed his lips on mine and wrapped his arms tighter around me. "Laur," he whispered without leaving my lips.
