It was like homecoming never happened. All of the posters and signs that advertised the dance were taken down, the school spirit was no longer at its high. It was just so blech.
"Hello everyone, I hope you all had a great time at the homecoming dance, for those of you who went. I know I certainly did," I said towards the camera with a huge smile.
This week's announcements were just about how report cards were sent out last week and all that jazz. I can't believe it's already second quarter!

"Don't talk to me ever again Aiden!" Alex screamed and slammed her locker.
If I didn't know any better, I'd say they just broke up. Shit. "Alex, are you okay?"
She shook her head and tears started streaming down her face. She wasn't a pretty crier.
"Alex, what's wrong?" Matt asked walking up to us, Scott directly behind him. That only made her cry more.
"Her and Aiden broke up," I whispered to him and he said oh.
She looked like she was psycho. She would be mad and curse about him then she'd break and cry then she'd just sit there and stare into space. This is how I would be if I broke up completely with Matt. God, I can't even think about that.
"Do you think I'd have a chance then?" Scott questioned and I stared at him like he was an alien. "What?"
"Are you an idiot?" I hissed and pushed him the other way, as far as I could get him from Alex. "If you ask her out right now, you're going to destroy you're friendship with Alex."
"Well whatever, might as well give it a shot," he said and walked up to her.
I couldn't watch, this was friendship suicide right now and it would be too painful. Especially for Alex. How would you like to be broken up with and then have one of your best friends ask you out? Yeah, not me, but if you're into that stuff, not judging.
What I saw was like a movie, it was completely silent all that was happening was Alex cry and storm out of the school doors and Scott hit her locker. "What happened?" I found myself saying to Scott.
"She said no. And kinda made a point that it'd never happen," he said. Told you so. "I have to talk to her and say I'm sorry."
"No! You can't! This is Alex we're talking about, the no-emotion wanted girl, one of your best friends you just spilled your heart out to. Not a good idea, Scott," I said holding his arms and pulled him into a hug.
"Scott just give her time," Matt added giving him a pat on the back.
