I picked Alex up at her house and she informed me that we were meeting with Scott at the Starbucks a few blocks over. Good, I could use the caffeine. I barely slept at all last night.

"So do you know how far you are?" I asked breaking the awkward silence.

"Uh, like two or three weeks?" She guessed. That's nice. "Sorry I haven't really talked to you in a while. I've been dealing with some school stuff. Guess what, I'm failing English."

"Why didn't you just tell me? I could've helped you. You know English is my strong suit," I said.

"I don't know. I guess I didn't want you to judge me for failing since we're like best friends," she said playing with her nails.

"Alex, look, yeah I probably would've judged you. But only because I know you can do better. You used to be so good at English!" I exclaimed. It was true. She was at the top of the English class freshman year.

"Yeah, well that's when I started going to parties and drinking and all that," she said.

"Its fine, Alex. I'm sure you can bring it up." Oh thank god we were here. I can't deal with all of this negativity.

.

.

"Oh my god, seriously?" Scott questioned. Well that was a different reaction than I thought was going to happen. I thought he was going to be petrified. "I don't care, I just want to be with you. I promise I'm not going to ditch you or anything okay? Wow, that's my kid."

Aww, I'm gonna cry.

"I love you Scott."

Alex and Scott told their parents and they took it well. I mean Alex's dad was sort of about to kill Scott for impregnating his daughter, but other than that I think it went fine.

Matt was over and I told him about the pregnancy and his eyes were so wide.

"Okay, I get that we're like 100% sure we're going to be together for the rest of our lives, but I don't want a kid until after college. So we need to slow down," I said.

"I was just going to say that. I'm still going to make out with you though. But if we start going far, we need to stop. Let's see we need to make like a list on when we can have sex."

"Um, our birthday's, um Valentine's Day, Christmas, if you win a really, really big game, and New Year's?" I suggested.

"Sounds good to me."

Well that was a weird conversation. We're probably the only couple that's ever done that.
