All I did once I found out Matt slept with Gina was listen to my Lana Del Rey/Lorde station on Pandora. It's now Friday. I had to buy that Pandora One thing so I could keep listening to music.
In the land of gods and monsters I was an angel. That was the song right now. Heading towards a fucked up holiday. Yeah this is really fucked. Fuck yeah give it to me this is heaven what I truly want. My head bobbed with the music and I quietly sang along.
Sure I've been in bad breakups before, but none like this. I've never loved anyone like Matt, I really really loved him. He broke my heart into a billion pieces and it's impossible to repair.
"I'm just really worried about her," I heard Miranda whisper as she passed my doorway. She was probably talking to my dad, about me. "She hasn't come out for three days, Emmett."
My dad's been away for business so she's obviously filling him in. "She hasn't eaten or anything?"
"Not that I know of," Miranda replied. She was right I haven't eaten anything. Nothing. Nada. I think I've slept for four hours in this amount of time too, so yeah, I'm kind of deprived of a lot of things right now.
"Should we call Alex?" My dad questioned.
"I think we should, maybe she'll talk to her." I've already talked to her, well texted. She'll ask me how I am and then I'll reply with a "fine." Next she'll say that Matt hasn't gone to school either and I say I don't care. We haven't texted in a day or so, I think she got fed up with my short responses.
"I'll call her."
.
.
I heard a car's doors lock and I looked out my window and saw Alex and Scott walking to my front door followed by the sound of the doorbell. Then I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and then the knocking on my door. "Come in."
"Oh my god Lauren! You look like crap!" Miranda exclaimed. Well thanks. At least I took showers. But it didn't really help the fact my hair was in a very messy topknot and I had my glasses on. PINK sweatpants and an oversized sweatshirt that had tear stains on them. I had a really bad pimple on my chin and under my nose. And you could probably see how oily my skin was. And not to mention, I probably had black circles under my eyes and I was almost certain I lost five pounds.
"She's not lying Lauren," Alex said quietly.
"Why thank you for clearing that up," I said scoffing.
"Well, I'll just leave you guys alone," Miranda said and shut my door.
It took a while for Scott or Alex to say something, but I could tell they wanted to say a lot. Something was obviously going on and for once I was the only one left out of the loop.
"We're dating!" Scott blurted out and Alex sharply turned her head to glare at him. I didn't say anything, I just raised my eyebrows and then plopped back down on my bed.
"He didn't cheat on you Lauren. Gina was with Aiden and they were all hanging out and the message you read was a group message between all of them," Alex said. She flinched when she said Aiden's name.
I guess all I really saw was that it said the message and who from. I never looked at it close enough to see if it was a group message.
"You need to talk to him and forgive him," Scott informed me.
"No shit, Sherlock. The only thing I can't wrap my head around is after I read the text message, he didn't even try to explain. He didn't try and fight for our relationship. So why should I believe that he still wants us together?" I asked.
"Well I guess you'll just have to ask him that yourself."
