you and colby had been hanging out a lot lately. recently you and him have been acting extremely flirty towards one another. you've even been a little intimate, and you've grown feelings for him. you didn't know it, but he was in love with you.

brennen went live on instagram, keeping you guys in the background on purpose. he wasn't talking very loud, so you had no idea everyone could see you. you were sitting on the counter, and colby spread your legs.

he stood in between them, both hands on either of your hips. you were looking into each other's eyes, and everyone on brennen's live went nuts. colby leaned close to you, and whispered in your ear.

"you look foxy in those spandex babygirl, it's driving me crazy." you giggled and put your hands on his shoulders, as he gently nibbled your earlobe. brennen read more comments out loud, but not loud enough.

'is colby dating her??'

'who is that?!'

'what a slut. he deserves better.'

'colby is mine! tell him to get his hands off that whore.'

brennen tried to calm down the chat, but they kept getting more and more upset. of course there were some supportive comments, but they were mainly very rude and disgusting.

someone leaked your account into the chat, and everyone suddenly left. brennen's eyes went wide, and he immediately shut off the live and shoved his phone back into his pocket.

your phone was going off, but it got annoying. you didn't feel like checking, so you just shut your phone off completely. colby kept kissing down your neck, and he reached your collarbones.

"you're so beautiful y/n.." he mumbles against your skin. you smile, and felt happiness at his soft lips on your skin, and his touch on your body. "colby.. i have to tell you.." you started, but soon stopped as you felt nervous.

colby stopped kissing you, and looked into your eyes. "don't be afraid, say what you want to say." his voice soothed you, and you took a deep breath. "i-i know that this isn't what we intended when we started this...thing... we have going on between us. but i couldn't help but grow feelings towards you after a while. it's okay if you're mad at me, but i just needed you to know." you felt your heart pounding, and thought as though if someone were close enough they could see it beating out of your chest.

he chuckled, "y/n i'm not mad at you for that. you can't help it, you fall for who you fall for. but don't worry, i've fallen for you too." your eyes lit up at the last part he spoke. you smile and hugged him closer to your body, and he giggled while hugging you just as tight.

brennen clapped, and you both looked his way. "congratulations lovebirds!" he cheered, as you looked into colby's eyes before laughing with him. colby leaned up and connected your lips, causing you to smile and kiss back harder.

colby's phone started ringing, and it made him pull away. he checked the caller ID, and saw that it was sam. he figured it was important, since sam normally just texted, so he answered. "be right back-" colby walked into another room. "yeah man what's up?"

"dude check all of your social media platforms right now! people are raving about you and y/n! i don't know how they found out but they did!" colby's eyes widened as he clicked the home button and went to every platform.

comments upon comments, and tweets upon tweets, along with dms upon dms. everyone had found out, and colby didn't know how. he clicked the call again, "sam! w-what do i do?! i can't have my fans hurt y/n, it'll ruin her!" colby said, freaking out.

"don't worry, i'll try to calm them down for now. enjoy your night and try not to worry, we'll figure this out!" sam exclaimed before he quickly ended the call. colby walked back out of the room and ran a hand through his locks.

you looked at him and furrowed your brows, calling him over to you. colby came and grabbed your hands, "i have some, not so good news." he sighed out, and you got even more confused.

you felt worrisome, "what is it colbs?" he just rubbed his face before replying. "the fans know. about us. and i have no clue how, or where they got the information but, they know now." your eyes widened, not expecting this to happen so soon.

brennen suddenly got nervous, and looked at you both. "guys... it's my fault." your heads snapped to his direction. "brennen what are you talking about?" colby said, and brennen sighed. "i went live without you guys knowing, and they saw you in the background. they caught colby kissing your neck, and they started going crazy. i'm sorry guys."

colby lost his mind as soon as brennen admitted it. "are you fucking kidding me?!" brennen just put his hands out, "bro i'm sorry! i didn't mean for it to happen!" colby just got more angry, "bullshit! you fucking tell us when you're live where everyone can see what's going on! i can't believe you, you fucking selfish cunt!" your eyes widened, as colby had never used that word before.

brennen was speechless, and he didn't know what to say. colby grabbed your hand and pulled you to the car before driving off to the house. you and him got into the apartment, and colby got even more pissed. he threw things, and broke a few glasses and plates.

you ran up to him as you dodged a plate, "colby! it's okay, relax!" you gripped his bicep, and his breathing was extremely heavy. you could feel the heat radiating off of him. "it's all going to work out, i promise!"

colby took a deep breath and turned around. "no, you don't understand y/n. my fans are brutal. they're mean to any girl i'm with, even if she's just a friend. they'll go after you, and threaten you now that they know we have a thing going on. they don't want me to have any girlfriends, because they want me all to themselves." you just made him look into your eyes.

"colby, i promise. i'll be okay with the backlash, they're not gonna hurt me. i have you, and that's all i need to be happy. this will all blow over soon, as it did with corey and devyn, sam and katrina, and jake and tara." he focused on your eyes, and he immediately relaxed.

"i just love you so much to see you get hurt. especially by the people i consider my family." you smiled at how big his heart is. "i love you too, and i promise i'll tell you if it gets too bad." he nodded and put his head in the crook of your neck.

~two weeks later~

everything blew over eventually, and now his fans are comfortable with you. of course, there are still some haters, but that's normal. you're happy with colby, and he's happy with you.

you watched the sunset with colby beside you, and the sand between your toes was the light of it all. colby looked at you, and you turned your head to look back at him.

he smiled, and tucked some hair that was in your face behind your ear. "you're beautiful babygirl. i love you to the end of time." you smiled and looked down. "i love you too handsome, to the ends of the earth."

you sealed your words with a soft, passionate kiss. you pulled away after a minute or two, looking back at the sunset. you leaned your head on his shoulder, and he leaned his head on top of yours.

this was it. this was the life.
