PRANK

COREY POV

"what's up guys, it's aunt corey here and i'm gonna be pulling a prank on y/n. the prank is that i'm gonna make it seem like her puppy, astrid, has passed away due to a heart attack and we buried her in the backyard." i said with a smile on my face. i picked up the camera and walked to colby's room.

"yo colby," i called out as i creaked his door open a bit. "wassup?" he asked as he looked up at me. "do you want to help me prank y/n?" i asked him, and he laughed to himself. "hell yea i do." i laughed after him and walked inside his room, sitting on the edge of his bed. "what's the prank?" he asked me, and i chuckled evilly.

"we're gonna make it seem like astrid passed away due to a stroke or heart attack." colby's jaw dropped, and his phone, along with his hands fell to his lap in disbelief. "oh my goodddd. bro astrid is her baby!" he exclaimed, and i laughed so hard. "i know bro! that's why it's gonna be such a good prank!" colby sighed, and faced the camera.

"baby i'm so sorry but, it's the prank wars." i giggled again and colby got up to go grab astrid. he came back a few seconds later with the dog in his arms, and she was licking his cheeks while he was rubbing her tummy. he put her in his closet with toys, her doggie bed, treats and a blanket.

THIRD PERSON POV

corey and colby set up cameras around the house before colby got a text message from y/n. he read it aloud,

babygirl🥰:
i'm on my way home.

colbear🐨:
see you soon love.

colby put his phone away and gave corey a thumbs up. he nodded while turning on every camera that they had placed downstairs in the trap house. you were pulling into the driveway. corey and colby scrambled as they finished putting the fake dirt on top of a grassy, unleveled patch in the backyard. they washed their hands and were sat in the kitchen leaning against the countertop.

YOUR POV

you walked into the house with a smile on your face. "astrid!" you called out in hopes of your little baby Australian shepherd to come running to your feet. you heard breaths being hitched, and you walked into the kitchen with furrowed brows. "come here astrid." you called again. "hey colbs, where is she?" you asked him while peeking your head into the garage, only to find navi.

"y/n, there's something i need to tell you." you furrowed your brows even tighter, and walked over to him. "what's up?" you asked as you put your school bag and keys on the table next to the island. he took a glance at corey, to which corey nodded at him, before he gently grabbed the backside of your upper arms. "astrid....she's gone, baby." he let you down easy.

your face drained of color, and your face went emotionless. "w-what?" you asked as tears welled up in your eyes. "no, no she's not. i just got her two months ago." you scrambled out, only to have corey put his head down and colby purse his lips into a thin line and give your arms a squeeze. "i'm sorry, doll. she died of a heart attack we think. me and corey came downstairs to see her lying on one side on the tile, and when i checked to see if she was breathing.." he trailed off, and soon just shook his head to finish the sentence.

"w-where's the b-body?" you stuttered, letting subtle tears fall out of the corner of your eyes. colby led you outside and pointed to the dirt on top of the grass. you knelt down and just stared at it as more tears fell before you got up and walked back inside. the boys followed you, before corey went upstairs and colby stayed with you.

"c'mere y/n." he grabbed your waist and pulled you into his chest, where you broke down in his arms. "i know babe, i know." he cooed as his hands rubbed your back in circles. "i do have some other news for you though," colby started as he saw corey at the top of the stairs holding astrid in his arms. "what?" you whimpered as you wiped your eyes and looked into his.

"welcome to the prank wars!" he yelled and you heard little nails hitting the wood of the stairs, only to hear that bark that belonged to your baby. you looked down and she jumped into your arms. you weren't upset anymore, you were beyond pissed. you clenched your jaw, and the boys stopped laughing as they saw the facial expression you had obtained.

you turned to colby and shoved him away from you before you went upstairs into your personal bedroom and slamming the door. you haven't used this room since you started dating colby. astrid jumped on the bed with you and crawled into your lap. you smiled and let tears of joy fall out of your eyes.

you pet her head and scratched her little puffy cheeks by her mouth as she licked your neck and face. "i love you sweet girl." you said as you held her close to you, sniffling and breathing terribly hard at times. you heard a knock on your door, and looked up to see colby slowly entering your room. you just looked away and grabbed your phone off the nightstand.

"baby, i'm so sorry," he commented, but you didn't budge, "are you alright?" he stepped closer to you but you didn't pay attention to him at all. he crawled into your bed next to you, before gently slipping your phone out of your hands. you just continued to ignore his presence as you pet your small dog that laid in your lap.

"y/n, look at me." when you didn't listen his hand turned your head to face him, and you just stared into his eyes with no emotion. "i hate you for that." you said blankly. his heart ached at hearing you say that, and his face softened with hurt. he shook his head, "babygirl you don't mean that. i'm so sorry i didn't think it would upset you to this degree." you scoffed lightly.

"colby you know how much astrid means to me. she's the love of my life and if i didn't have her part of me would be dead. for you to do something like that betrayed my trust. i'm so upset that you would even consider helping corey or doing this as your own prank or whatever cuz i don't even know who pulled it on me. that really made me upset, and it makes me not want to look at you." you said, and turned back to face him again with a stern expression.

he leaned forward, and pressed his lips to yours lovingly and softly. you kissed back, and colby pulled you by the waist onto his lap. astrid just watched you both from the edge of the bed after moving so colby could kiss you. he held under your thighs as your arms went around his neck, and the kiss deepened out of passion.

you both pulled away when you needed oxygen, and connected foreheads together. "i forgive you, but please don't ever play a prank on me that involves my dog in any way, shape or form." he nodded and kissed you again for a few seconds. "it wasn't my idea, it was corey's. but i can help you get him back by 'hurting' navi if you want." colby had a mischievous smirk on his face as he concluded his idea.

you giggled and nodded, "i'd love to." you and colby went back in for another kiss, only for astrid to come between you both and start licking your faces. you laughed as colby did, and he kissed astrid's nose. "i love you too silly one." he said as he scrunched up her cheeks. you cuddled up into colby's right side, and astrid cuddled up into his left. you all got covered up with the blankets on your bed and soon fell asleep to the tv softly playing in the background.
