you just sat on the edge as you could overhear the boys fighting. colby was being an ass, again. no not to elton, sam or heath, to you. you and him were set up to get married in the next few months, but colby isn't too happy. you were never dating, it was set up by your friends.

you're a shy person, due to things going on in your life that have made you not want to let anyone in. colby thinks you're weird, because you barely talk, and he talks a lot.

"colby, give her a chance. she's just quiet, there's nothing wrong with that." elton tried, but again colby just refused to accept any advice from them. "no elton! she's weird, she just observes and then says nothing." you felt his eyes on you, and you knew he was looking at you in disgust.

"don't be like that man, she's just different from you. no need to judge." heath said, but colby rolled his eyes at the comment. sam scoffed and finally bursted, "stop being a god damn bully and fucking be nice to her. maybe then she would talk to you."

they just walked off, along with colby. you just felt the tears brim your eyes. you were scared, to get into a relationship again. the last one ended out with you hurt, badly. so you just learned to keep quiet, after being blamed that talking was your problem.

you plugged in your earbuds and just played the one song that seems to comfort you. the tune went through your ears, and you started to sing. quickly catching the attention of the boys.

you got up and decided to start walking. the tears flowed out as the song went on, making your heart clench at the words.

you got loud, trying to make yourself feel heard. your voice laced emotion around every word that you sang. showing that you've been hurt, and not wanting to admit it to people.

the song ended, and you couldn't control it anymore. you collapsed into your knees as you broke down into tears. "i miss you momma, and you too dad. i'm sorry i let you d-down.." you confessed to the sky as you rolled up your sleeves to reveal the whip marks on your arms.

you felt strong arms wrap around you, bringing you into their chest. you turned around halfway and grabbed the person's shirt, crying hard into it. you felt a soft hand lace around yours, and you slid your hand up, gripping their forearm as they softly grabbed yours.

colby looked at the scars on your arms, and he gently caressed them. his heart swelled at the sight of you, completely broken inside. he felt bad for judging you all this time, when he should've been loving you like you deserved.

"i'm sorry..." he whispered and wrapped his free arm around your waist. he kissed your head and closed his eyes as his eyebrows furrowed. the tears fell from his eyes at the feeling of your chest heaving up and down. he gently squeezed your hip to let you know that you're safe.

you looked up at him, shaking profusely and hair sticking to your tear stained cheeks. he pushed the hair out of your face, and looked into your eyes. they were clouded over and sad, and he connected foreheads with you.

"c-c-colby.." you whined to him, and he nodded. "yes it's me, i'm right here. i promise you i'm not going anywhere." you shivered as the breeze blew, and he pulled you closer. you rested your hands upon his chest, which was now bare. you opened your eyes and stared at the sunset as you calmed down.

"p-please..." you begged, trying to signal what you wanted as you put your hand behind his neck. he tried to refuse, and take your hand off his neck. you shook your head and pulled him in fully, connecting your lips.

colby kissed back, and squeezed your hand. he wanted to pull away, before he realized that he's caught feelings for you. you just sat on his lap and disconnected your lips so you could speak.

"just let happen, you need it." you whispered, and you connected your lips again. colby opened his mouth and let you have the access, and soon enough sparks flew. he pulled away, "w-what just happened?" he was beyond confused.

"that was you falling in love all over again." you smiled and so did he. he was beyond ecstasy, and he tickled you as you laughed. he made you happy, and knowing that was all he needed as validation. turns out he just had, the wrong impression.
