you were playing the piano in your bedroom, while singing a bunch of random songs. colby went over to kevin's house so he could film with him and stuff. you decided to sing a little because it helps you release stress.

              i figured it out,
             i figured it out from black and white.
            seconds and hours,
            maybe they had to take some time.

one direction was always one of your favorite bands before they broke up, and still to this day you listen to their songs. even though they're from years ago, they're still bops in your opinion.

this song in particular, it described you and colby. or at least you'd hoped it did. you never wanted to split from colby; he was your other half and you needed him.

this song is a mixture of sad and passion; as it's slow but also strong. colby had texted you that he was on his way home, but you didn't hear the ping of your phone due to the sound of your piano.

you didn't hear the door to the apartment open either, and your boyfriend is just about to find out something he never knew about you. something frankly nobody knew.

colby appeared in the doorway, amazed and admiring you as you sang. you were playing the piano, getting ready for the next verse, until a voice abruptly stopped you.

"i didn't know you can sing." your eyes widened, and you slowly turned around. you saw the love of your life, standing there with a wide smile on his face.

"uh.. h-how long have you been there and how much have you heard?" you stuttered from embarrassment. he walked in and stood in front of you.

"the chorus, and it was amazing." you just blushed, insecure about your voice. you never liked your voice, always thought you weren't good; you just sing because it makes you happy.

"oh, no i doubt it was, i-" colby cut you off. you looked at him, shocked by his response. "don't talk like that! your voice has power, and is extremely beautiful! you have complete control over your voice, and it's so smooth."

"no it's really no-" colby hugged you into his chest to shut you up. you hugged back, immediately becoming flustered. your face heated up and colby smiled while pulling away.

"just shut up you gorgeous piece of art." you blushed even harder. colby took a seat next to you on the piano bench. he placed his hands on the keys, starting to play with you.

colby:

you looked into each other's eyes, knowing a beat drop is coming. both of your eyes flicked from each other's lips to eyes. you grabbed his collar and kissed him passionately, and for the first time ever.

colby was shocked, but melted into the kiss nonetheless. colby gripped your waist, and he pulled you onto his lap. you smiled and he slipped his tongue into your mouth, deepening the kiss.

you pulled away a few minutes later, and you opened your eyes. you let out an exhale, and colby smiled at you. "woah.." was all you could get out.

"damn are you sexy.." colby said and you giggled, leaning in again and kissing him. he kissed back softly, lingering his lips. you pulled away again and colby picked you up, pulling you into the bedroom and laying down with you.

you fell asleep to the sound of his heartbeat in his chest, and his small breathing. he smiled and kissed your forehead. "we'll be together forever, baby."
