knock knock

"jen, let's eat! "

jennie didn't respond, usually.

lisa sighs, "i'm coming in." lisa opened the door and there shows jennie resting on her study table with books and papers around her.

"you're such a busy person." lisa murmurs.

she saw a picture frame, a man smiling with jennie. lisa comes closer, making footstep noise.

"who could this be?" lisa said as she grab the frame.

"is this our dad?" she added.

jennie sniffs, "y-yes." jennie turned her head and gets back the frame aggressively.

lisa saw jennie, a crying mess.

it's the first time i saw this person cry. especially when she's a crying mess. lisa thought.

"why are you crying?" she asked.

instead, jennie continues to cry and rest her arms.

"oh.. i understand." lisa joked.

maybe i shouldn't have asked about our father, that's the past.

after few minutes, there's an awkward moment, lisa doesn't know what to do about jennie since she's sobbing.

should i comfort her? i'm not even that type of comforting person.

lisa slowly pats jennie's head, it made lisa felt happy making this moment.

jennie.. she's cute.

"could you please stop?" jennie suddenly said having a hoarse voice.

"why? don't you like it?"

".."

"you like it."

"tell me jennie, why do you always have that poker face?" lisa asked.

silence

"sigh it's because of  my father. please stop asking questions about him." she answered.

"you're like a child, missing your da-"

"you don't understand." jennie said sternly and mad tone.

"okay okay geez."

"jennie! jennie! look what i captured!" jisoo said excitedly.

"what now jisoo? i'm busy." jennie said reading the paperworks.

jisoo laughed at the picture first before showing it to jennie. "you'll laugh out loud!"

jisoo showed it to jennie, jennie reads the paperworks first.

as jennie turned her head, she saw the picture of his grandfather with a funny, unusual face.

jennie coughed and laughed at the picture, loudly.

and there is lisa, peeking to jennie."so she laughs too? that smile.."

"lisa, wanna go somewhere? to relax?" jeongyeon asked, smiling.

"to relax?? where?"

"uhm, i don't know honestly but i have an idea. you'll like it. since you're not that busy, let's just chill and relax."

"don't worry about the transportation, i know how to drive, leave it to me." jeongyeon winks at her.

minutes later. 6:35pm

beep beep

"hop on!"

lisa was shocked on seeing jeongyeon riding a wrangler jeep. "wow, this jeep must be so expensive..!"

"yeah of course. this is the last thing that my dad gave me.. d-don't worry about it. just hop on!"

lisa hops on and sits on the shotgun seat. "so where are we going?" she asked, curious.

"don't ask, lis. listen to the music instead." jeongyeon replied.

minutes later, they arrived.

"a field?"

"now look at the stars." jeongyeon said.

lisa looked up and was amazed by seeing a lot of stars. "damn.."

"and.. i brought soju! let's lie down on the grass." jeongyeon said as she hold the soju.

"lis?"

"lis, you can stop staring at the stars now."

"wait.. i've thought of..

something..

just from seeing the..

stars.."

i thought of jennie.. her laugh.. her tears.

why?
