Chapter 8

Cydo's pov

I woke up and instantly wondered if Jack was back. As I dressed, I thought about my dream. I couldn't remember it for the life of me and it was driving me crazy.

I felt as though it was important, but I couldn't place my finger on it. Maybe I'll remember it later. For now, I'll just get dressed and wait for Alpha.

A few moments after I had gotten dressed, Jack walked in. I hope he doesn't walk in on me while I'm changing. I've noticed that he stopped knocking...

"You up?" he asked. We looked at each other for a moment and I got nervous. He shook his head before continuing.

"Ready to go?" he questioned. I nodded. "Then let's go."

He waved a hand at me and I noticed the ring on his finger. Although it meant nothing, I still couldn't stop feeling happy that he was wearing it.

We walked downstairs and Sally came running up to me.

"Cydo! Come play with us!" she said jumping up and down.

"No." Jack said sternly.

"You can't tell her what to do!" Sally whinned.

"Technically, I can. And she needs to hunt." my Alpha deadpanned, "She might play later."

"Fine." she pouted before running off to play with Charlie.

"Annoying little brat." Jack mumbled before walking out the door.

This time, it stayed light out during our hunt. Jack asked no questions and I remained quiet. The only interaction between us was him telling me when to attack.

After returning to the mansion, Jack went to his room, leaving me downstairs with the others. I played video games with BEN and Jeff, while Sally and Lulu played with my hair. After a while, the proxies took the girls to the park. I had to stay behind. That left me with BEN and Jeff.

I sat on the floor again while Jeff was laying on the couch, BEN sat on the loveseat. We were playing games and I hadn't realized that Jeff got a little tipsy.

Jeff had moved on the couch but hadn't paid attention. He kicked the back of my head, earning a growl from me.

"Bish! Growl at meh agan!" he snapped at me.

"Oh shit." BEN muttered. Unhappy with his tone, I growled at him again. But louder.

"Mutha fucka!" Jeff yelled as he drew his knife and lunged at me. I lept out of the way before lunging at him.

"Fuck! Slender!" BEN yelled as we engaged in an all out fight. My claws had already been out so I'd already been ready. Blood flew and neither of us were going to give up.

"Jeff! Cydo!" a voice boomed. Something wrapped around me and I instinctively attacked it as me and Jeff were pulled away from each other. Jeff was lifted from the ground by a long black tendril while I was dropped.

I quickly got back up and began jumping and clawing at Jeff's feet. Jeff just yelled at me and tried to kick me as I snarled and growled and bit at him.

Everytime Slender would try to grab me or push me back, I clawed or bit him. Hissing before turning back to Jeff.

"Jack!" Slender called. Moments later, he came downstairs.

"Wh- Shit! Cydo!" he barked, but I didn't care.

"Cydo!" he growled and I still didn't listen. He grabbed my arm and jerked me to face him.

"No!" Alpha growled at me. I stayed crouched on the floor as he glared at me. Slender lowered a 'calmer' Jeff to the floor, but he reached his leg out and kicked my head.
