We raced through the forest together, looking for a hunt. But no one seemed to be in the forest today. I began to wonder. What does Seed do on days like this?
Eventually, the sky turned dark. Not stormy dark, but nighttime dark. Seed led me to a small town before stopping. I thought I had to lead someone outside for him, until...
Seed looked around and lept on a street lamp. The lamp surprisingly didn't break, but it turned off. As did all the lamps on the street.
He lept off and walked to a nearby house. He passed up all the other houses on his way. He wanted this one in particular. I became curious as to why. I followed him as he climbed up a tree. There were many deep claw marks on it, indicating that he's been here before.
He sat on a branch under a window that had it's light on. I hid behind the tree as I watched. Seed was sitting just barely out of sight, but he started to chirp. Like a bird. No other animals were out, or even awake at this time, so his chirping sounded much louder than it was.
A man raced to the window and looked out at Seed. He seemed terrified, but made no movement to do anything about him. I tilted my head in confusion as Seed just sat there. I heard a small sound and wondered what it was. Until I realized, the man was crying. He didn't move a muscle, but stood there and cried.
The man suddenly dropped out of view and Seed jumped out of the tree. He walked back into the forest and I followed him. He didn't even kill anyone. Why were we leaving?
Soon, we arrived in another town. This one also at night. Same thing. Seed sat in a tree, and chirped. He seemed to be visiting these people often. These same people.
I figured that he would continue this for the rest of the hunt, so I went ahead and broke into a few homes to feed. I took out about 3 families in three different towns before Seed did something different.
He chirped at a window and a woman came over to it. She slowly backed away from the window, keeping her eyes on Seed. Surprisingly, Seed rose to his feet. He quickly sprung to the window and somehow made it inside.
I climbed the tree and lept in after him. The woman pushed herself deeper into a corner before pulling out a gun. She pointed it at Seed and he opened his mouth wide. Then, she slowly pointed it at her head, and shot.
Her lifeless body fell to the floor and Seed sat down. He ate her before calmly getting back up and exiting back through the window. I followed as he returned to the forest and into yet another town.
This time, he seemed to look around and explore the town a bit. Finally, he stopped under a dark window. He jumped up into a tree, which had no scratch marks on it, staying a distance from the window. He just looked at the window for awhile before chirping.
About 30 minutes later, the light turned on. A young woman, probably in her late twenties, came to the window as she rubbed her face. She opened the window and was about to shout when she froze. Her eyes went wide and she ran from the window.
Seed quickly and quietly jumped out of the tree and took off. I heard sirens approaching and decided to get the fuck out of dodge as well. I ran in the direction Seed went and met up with him a distance into the forest. She must be his new victim.
We headed back to the fancy house and entered back into Seed's room. Surprisingly, Grinny was waiting outside the door for me. I said goodbye to Seed and followed Grinny back to the infirmary.
I petted Grinny before I reached for the doorknob. But stopped. Voices. One sounded... Aggravated, but... Upset too. The other sounded sorry.
I listened closer to hear the conversation.
