Cydo's pov

"You're quite fast, and normally run on all four. Correct?" Jack asked me. I nodded.

"You're extremely pale, but more of a pale grey... You have knife like teeth instead of pointed..." he muttered on. I stuck my pointed tongue out at him.

"That's a first..." he muttered, "Pointed tongue."

I giggled. We've been sitting up here for about an hour and a half already. We were almost done. There were only a few things left that we knew about me.

"Heightened senses and, no offense, gluttony." he said.

"None taken." I mumbled.

"I think that's about it for now. Right?"

"Yeah."

"Good. Break time." he said as he stretched. I did as well before laying down on his bed.

"Tired?"

"No. Not really."

"You sure? You look like it."

"Then good night Jacky." I muttered as I closed my eyes. I just laid there for a moment before Jack spoke.

"Are you seriously going to sleep?" he deadpanned. I made no movements or sounds.

"Cydo?" I still didn't move.

I heard a small snicker from Jack before I felt his fingers running through my hair. We stayed like that for awhile. In my mind, I could tell that he knew that I was still awake. It never seemed to bother either of us.

He let out a sigh and stopped playing with my hair. I turned over to look at him.

"What's wrong Jack?" I asked him softly. He just looked at me in silence.

"Jack?" I asked again. He swiftly got up and headed for the door.

"Nothing. Just give me a minute." he told me. He walked out, closing the door behind him.

Worry consumed me. What could be wrong? Is it because of me? I didn't do anything wrong did I?

I decided to stay in case he came back and needed me. I also couldn't make myself move other than sitting up. I really wanted to know what was wrong. Although I probably won't be able to help.

I sat there and played with my bracelet. I had nothing else to do and didn't want to rummage through his stuff. That's just rude.

I looked at the pencil and notebook before looking back at my bracelet. I grabbed the pencil and flipped to a blank page at the back. I started to draw and before I knew it, I'd fallen asleep.

Jack's pov

I walked through the woods for the millionth time. Since that day, it's always been something that takes my mind off of everything.

I guess it's the thing that makes me feel normal...

Until I hear the all too familiar thumping. The ones that tell me I'm being followed. By none other than a giant, furry mass barreling straight towards me.

I stepped out of the way and he tumbled past. He jumped back up and bounced around me. At least someone's in a good mood.

He nudged my arm and I patted his clothy head. He snorted.

"What?" I asked him. He just rubbed his head against my side.

"You wanna come?" He waved his head up and down and hopped forward.
