Jack's pov

We headed upstairs and found that no one was in the living room. I stole a glance out the window to find darkness. It was nighttime? Damn... How long did I sleep? How long was I down there? What day is it?

I decided to figure it all out tomorrow. When I know both me and Cydo are ok. She fought viciously, yet it still seemed like she was holding back...

"Jack!" I heard Hoodie yell, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"You ok?" he asked.

"Yeah. I'm fine. Why?" I questioned.

"Uh, you never zone out. You completely froze. You didn't even hear me the first thousand times I yelled." he told me.

"Probably just tired." I muttered.

"You slept all friggin day man. How are you tired?" he asked as we headed for the stairs.

"If you just battled it out with Cydo in her little smoke ball. Would you be tired?" I deadpanned.

"Uh..... Yeah..... You win." he mumbled.

We made it up the stairs and Cydo wiggled. Meaning Hoodie almost dropped her back down the stairs. I tried not to yell at him to be careful, as it was unexpected.

"Where we taking her, your room or hers?" Hoodie asked. I made a note that he listed my room first.

"Doesn't matter." I told him as I headed for my room. Hoodie stood there a moment before answering.

"Your room it is."

Only then did I realize what I said. 'Doesn't matter.' Oh well. After falling asleep on my lap, she'd probably freak out if she woke up alone anyways.

I opened my door and stepped in, Hoodie right behind me.

"Damn. Do you ever use the lights? I can't see shit." he muttered.

"Do you really think I'd prefer them on?" I asked him. He just stood there.

"Nooooo......" he answered slowly.

"Then they stay off." I said. I left him in my room and walked in the infirmary. I just needed to treat these minor injuries so they don't bug me all night. And probably take some damn pain pills or something.

I took my time, Hoodie probably just left Cydo and left. No one ever stays in my room long. That's if they have the guts to enter in the first place. The only exception is Slender. And Cydo.

I sat on a bed for a few to straighten out my thoughts. And to let the room stop spinning. Wait. Spinning? Shit, I need to get to bed before I pass out. Yet I don't think I can. I feel... Nauseous...

Fuck...

I forced myself to get up and walk to my room. Well, I stumbled a lot, so I probably should've either stayed put, or crawled. But I walked.

My vision got blurry and I made it to the bed. I laid down and didn't bother with the damn blankets. I didn't even care if Hoodie had taken Cydo to her room or not. Shit. What the fuck did I do?

I yanked off my mask and tossed it on the nightstand just moments before I passed out.

Cydo's pov

The next morning, I awoke to a familiar scent. My pillow smelled heavily of Jack. Wait. My pillow? No. Not mine.

I was in Jack's room. There was no way he could've carried me all the way up here. He was way too sore to do it. Jack doesn't ask for help either.
