Jack's pov

I swear. Each time Cydo eats someone, she gets faster. And more vicious. I hope she doesn't lose control. I've never noticed how much she changes when she hunts though...

I'd noticed that her nails extend into long claws and her eyes seem to shine bright. And kind of menacing. She usually lets her hair fall free when she hunts too. Her skin seems to be whiter, as if it was a kind of... bone color.

She seems to act more like a creature than a human. She hunts on all fours as opposed to two. She says nothing and only growls or makes these weird sounds. She was much different than even Seedeater.

Her hunting style also changed as we progressed. She would stay in the shadows and sneak quietly into a home. Then she would kill the family in their sleep.

After a while, she just ran straight down the street. She would bash through a window or bust down the door, waking up the family. And possibly the neighbors. Then, she would carefully torture the family.

When I mean carefully, I mean that she tortures them in a way that they don't die for a while. She makes sure they stay awake for the whole show. It's actually pretty scary watching someone that was so quick dealing in death, torture children for hours on end.

Eventually, we left town for another.

"Aren't you done?" I asked her.

"Yes, but I wanna do something else. I'm sure there's somewhere we can go to find something else to do."

"We don't look human. People will notice."

"It's night time where we're going. They won't notice us too much. We'll just look like... Cosplayers."

"Cosplayers?" I questioned. What the fuck is she talking about?

"Yeah. People who dress up as characters from a game, show, movie, etc. In this case, we'll say a fanfic." she told me as she jumped around happily.

She still held my hand and her hand felt very cold compared to mine. It was smaller than mine too, and it seemed to fit perfectly. Something about her hand in mine felt so...

Right.

I never want to let go for some reason. Maybe I'm just afraid she'll disappear again. Funny. I've never really been afraid since Slender took me in.

I still remember why I refused to be his proxy. I loved my freedom. I didn't want to give it up just for a place to stay. Thankfully, I didn't have to.

I wonder. Does Cydo feel like she's lost her freedom? Am I just a burden that she's trying to bear?

"Jack? Jack?" Cydo called. We were still walking, but Cydo was looking at me, worried.

"Are you ok?" she asked me softly.

"Yeah. I'm fine. Just thinking." I told her.

"About what? I mean! If you don't mind me... asking..." she said, embarrassed. Her cheeks turned a rosy shade. I chuckled.

"Just thinking about where we might be going." I told her.

"Oh... Ok... I uh... Didn't mean to pry..." she muttered.

"I told you. I really don't care what you do. As long as you're not afraid of me any more. You know how irritating it is, getting so used to being around someone. Only for them to disappear?" I asked her.

Why Did I Ask Her That!? What the Fuck? Oh god, did I hit my head again or something? Shit. God I hope not.

Cydo was quiet for a moment. Did I upset her? Damn it Jack! What the hell!
