"It's a hot spring!" Megan exclaimed, pointing at the scenery, a gleam of wonder in her eyes.

In front of her and Taehyung was a large basin of water. What the girl had initially thought was smoke was in reality water vapor, emerging from the spring and twirling in the cold air, forming a thick fog above the surface. The surroundings were slightly elevated, creating a rocky pit where the water accumulated

"Yes! It's a thermal spring," explained Taehyung with a grin, crouching down near the edge.

"Don't touch the water! It could be toxic!"

The spring wasn't very deep, and they could clearly see the bottom from the rock they were standing on, which was slightly elevated, giving them a good view of the body of water. The spring wasn't very large either, maybe the third of the university pool. Moss and all kinds of herbs were growing on the edges, thriving in the hot and humid environment.

Above their heads, the fir branches looked covered in diamond. Huge icicles were hanging from their heavy branches, the humidity freezing as soon as it touched a cold surface. With the dark purple sky above their heads, sending pink shadows across Taehyung's face, Megan felt like Clara in the Nutcracker, lost in some kind of fairy tale magical land where everything was dipped in crystal.

While she admired the scenery, Taehyung removed his gloves and stretched his hand to dip his fingers, two knuckles deep in the clear liquid. A satisfied smile appeared on his lips as he stood back up to look at his companion.

"It's not toxic at all, it's the purest water in the world! It comes down straight from the top of the mountain, from the melting snow, and is filtrated by the earth and the roots and the rocks. You know that this isn't a regular mountain, right? This is a dormant volcano. Even if it's not active, it still produces a lot of heat, which can sometime come closer to the surface like in this case and heat the water, forming a thermal spring."

Megan crossed her arms on her chest, still not convinced.

"I know what a hot spring is, I'm just not eager to touch that water. There could be toxic bacteria in there or... algae."

Taehyung peered at her with the wildest smirk.

"The water current is too strong to keep the toxins in there, and I know this place like the back of my hand. Hoseok and me and the rest of the boys, we used to come to his cabin during the winter all the time. There are a lot of hot springs around the mountain, and we would swim in them when they were not too deep."

"You can swim in those?" the girl ask, not persuaded.

But before she could add anything else, Taehyung started to unzip his coat.

"Wait! What are you doing?" the girl exclaimed, and her eyes widened in shock when he threw his beanie into the snow followed by his scarf.

Taehyung chuckled at her outraged expression.

"Oh come on! This is the best thing ever! It's like a spa!" he said, his sparkly gaze looking right at her as he removed his snowshoes.

"You're going to freeze to death! Come on! We should go back, it's getting really dark!"

At this point, the man wasn't listening to her at all. Already, his winter pants were on the ground and he was removing his wool sweater. Megan, who didn't expect at all to have him undressing like that in front of her in the middle of the freezing cold felt her cheeks flush and hesitated to turn around when his naked upper body was revealed in front of her eager eyes.

She caught a glimpse of the golden skin of his chest before she bit her lower lip and turned around, the sound of his belt being undone and his pants being unzipped lighting a pit in her stomach she didn't even know existed until now, making her shift uncomfortably on her spot. Not peeking was more difficult than she thought, and the temptation was definitely present.
