65| Blood on Snow

"Jungkook! Look out!" screamed Alice from the middle of the pentagram.

Alice's aunt, copper hair flying in the wind and hands shot forward, was trying to reach Jungkook with her paralysis fumes without touching the witch Jungkook was holding like a shield in front of him.

Luckily, Namjoon had seen what was coming and grabbing Juliet's knife from her inert hands, threw it across the room. The knife ended up in the aunt's shoulder, sinking up to the handle in her back. She immediately let out a long screech, glaring with wide eyes at the tip of the blade sticking out the front of her chest. Namjoon, using the distraction, ran across the room and grabbed Jungkook's arm, trying to pull him away from the crowd. This time, the boy didn't push him back and followed him diligently.

Meanwhile, Hoseok, a little stunned from Jimin being propelled on top of him, managed to stand up with Yoongi's help.

"Come on," exclaimed Yoongi, leading him and Jimin towards the exit.

A young boy that was maybe ten years old, his eyes sparkly with mischief, managed to grab Jimin's hand before he could run away.

Jimin screamed in pain at the sensation of cold that invaded his body. Hoseok's eyes widened when he saw that Jimin's hand was turning blue. He immediately kicked the little boy in the stomach to rescue his friend from the cold grip. The small boy fell back and immediately started to cry.

"I hate children," muttered Hoseok to Jimin.

However, Jimin was not listening. The boy was now so weak he was incapable of standing up by himself. Powerful chills ran through his body and his teeth started to chatter uncontrollably He would certainly have fell to the ground if Yoongi hadn't caught him at the last second.

A thick black smoke suddenly appeared out of nowhere. One second, the air was as clear as crystal, the second after, walking around was like trying to walk inside of a sauna. The fog was so thick, Yoongi couldn't see two inches in front of him.

"What the fuck is this!"

Alice let out a sudden gasp when she saw the smoke invade the room. The spell couldn't get inside the pentagram, so she could see inside the circle of candles, but everything around was invaded by a black cloud of twirling fumes. She felt even more trapped than before and a feeling of claustrophobia started to creep up her chest.

She could see shadows run around through the fog but couldn't tell who they were. Feeling as helpless as ever, she let out a frustrated groan before running to Taehyung and Megan to check if they were doing fine.

Meanwhile, Yoongi, supporting Jimin, was running blindly, disoriented and unable to find the exit. Hoseok was nowhere to be found and he was starting to be scared.

Further away, Namjoon was also lost in the crowd.

"Fuck where are the others?" he asked, as he forcefully pulled Jungkook through the smoke.

The initial confusion of the battle was now a gigantic chaos. Shadows were stumbling against one another, people were falling, grabbing each other before realizing they were on the same team. Someone jumped in Namjoon's way and he punched the indistinct shadow. The leader felt the bones crack underneath his ring and heard a very familiar groan.

"Dumbass you broke my nose!" cried out Yoongi, dazed, as he felt the blood pouring from his face, "Jungkook! Take Jimin!" he yelled, noticing the tall figure following the leader.

Jimin was freezing cold and shivering so much that he couldn't walk anymore. Jungkook took him like he weighed absolutely nothing and threw him on his shoulder. He also kicked a witch in the knee when she tried to grab Namjoon by the throat. The girl immediately fell down, screaming in pain, knee bent backward in a very abnormal angle.
