They tried a new kind of torture on Alice.

This time, they untied her from her chair in the meat locker and brought her to another room where they pinned her down to a table. Felix then put a cloth over her mouth and nose and started pouring buckets of water over her head.

Each time, Alice felt like she was going to drown. She would close her eyes and let the icy water run down her face while she held her breath until her lungs burned and she became lightheaded and she thought she was going to pass out. And then she would try to take a deep breath but find out that there wasn't anything to breathe and she would start to panic.

They did that again and again, until she actually passed out.

This time, Evanora stayed beside her to ask the questions. As she did so, the woman paced around the room angrily, arms crossed on her chest. She wasn't able to control Taehyung's powers, she wasn't able to get anything out of Alice, and she couldn't even locate the rest of Namjoon's coven. It was almost like they had disappeared from the face of the Earth.

She felt like she was losing the game, and she didn't like losing at all.

When Alice finally regained consciousness, she found Evanora's furious face above hers.

"You tell me what the antidote is, you let me use your powers, and I'll do everything you want! I'll stop torturing you, I'll release your friends..." Evanora yelled in the girl's face.

She was getting desperate.

Alice wanted to roll her eyes and laugh but she didn't find the force to do so. She just ignored her instead and winced in pain. The girl wasn't stupid, she knew her grandmother was lying and had absolutely no intention of releasing anyone.

In a sudden outburst of rage, Evanora punched the table underneath Alice, making the girl flinch. After that, she quickly left the room, slamming the door behind her. Felix sighed as he peered at the door. At first, he had fun torturing his cousin, but now that she was actually crying and begging them to stop every time, a sort of uneasiness was taking over him.

He still did it though. That was his job. He just didn't like it anymore.

Felix detached Alice from the table and took the thin figure in his arms, bringing her back to the meat locker. They had removed the chair and now, the girl was free to walk around with her ankles and wrists attached to a metal ring adorning the ceiling. Evanora was getting concerned that her muscles would atrophy if she stayed seated all day. Her plan was to keep the girl by her side as soon as she would give them the antidote and her allegiance. She wanted her to still be able to walk by then.

Felix also left two granola bars and a bottle of water for her, although she didn't eat much these days. The boy thought she was a tough one, his cousin. Evanora really was a fool for thinking she would ever join them willingly.

A few hours went by. Alice was in semi-conscious state, her head rolling on her shoulder as she sat with her back against the wall. She couldn't sleep because she was shivering in her drenched clothes, which were sticking to her body like a freezing second skin. However, she was too weary to even walk around to make them dry faster, so he girl simply stayed there, hugging her knees to try to get rid of the cold.

The door suddenly cracked open, but she didn't even bother to look up. Someone took a step in her direction and kneeled at her side, putting a blanket over her shoulders. Alice opened an eye but turned away when she recognized her visitor.

"Go away Juliet," she whispered.

"Hey..." the girl mumbled, clearly uncomfortable, "I didn't come here to brag. Grandma doesn't even know I'm here. I want to help you."
