63| Family reunion

Alice's plan was actually very simple.

She knew that her family was more powerful that Namjoon's coven combined with herself, and Megan. Therefore, they had absolutely no chance of fighting them using their magic, which meant the only other option was to deceit them.

There was a specific potion, well known amongst those practising witchcraft, that disabled completely someone's powers for an indefinite period of time. This potion, pretty easy to brew, was made of the distilled water from a broth of fluxweed, knotgrass, bone powder, graveyard dirt and other powerful herbs.

The first part of her plan was to drink that potion.

Alice's grandmother, Evanora Gilbert, was gifted with the exact same abilities as her granddaughter. She could channel anyone's magic, but, unlike her grandchild, needed to touch the person in order to do so. By drinking the potion, Alice was preventing her grandmother from using her necromancy powers against her will.

The second part of the plan was the trickiest.

Alice needed to be surrounded by her family. All of them would need to be very close to her. At this moment, she would be completely exposed and powerless in front of them.

Finally, Yoongi, using his cursing powers, would need to banish the whole coven out of the country. Cursing almost 20 people at the same time would be very demanding, so to avoid him fainting after doing so, he would need to channel his coven's energy.

Alice, even with absolutely no magic, would be able to canalize the spell and hit everyone around her at a certain radius. The curse would directly hit all the members of her family, which means that they would all need to leave the country as fast as possible in order to stay alive.

Needless to say that Alice and all the others would have to act very fast in order to succeed.

To say that Yoongi was nervous about this plan would be an understatement. He felt like a good part of the success of the mission was up to him and his abilities, and didn't take lightly having the life of all of his friends in the palm of his hand.

He was now driving, way over the speed limit, towards the address written on the paper that Taehyung and Megan's kidnappers had left behind. Namjoon was at his side and Hoseok, Jin, and Jungkook were in the back.

Yoongi, whose usual blank expression was plastered on his face, was boiling on the inside. He was pissed at Alice for leaving without telling him, he was pissed at Jimin for helping her, and on top of all of that, he was pissed at himself.

While he was having sex, one of his best friends had been kidnapped. After that, the minute he had turned his back, Alice had left with Jimin to practically jump into what was certainly a trap.

The boy wasn't thriving.

Luckily, he had realized almost instantly that Jimin and Alice were missing. It meant that they could still arrive on time...

"Hey, slow down Yoongi, or we're just all going to die before we reach our destination," lowly said Namjoon.

Yoongi's lack of expression wasn't fooling the coven leader, who had known him for years. The tension in Yoongi's shoulders and the way he was gripping the steering wheel, his knuckles even paler than usual, were indications that the boy was in a state of high distress despite his calm appearance.

"We're here," Yoongi simply responded, maneuvering the car towards a dark alley.

They were in the industrial part of Seoul. Absolutely no one lived in the area and the shadows of disused factories and rusty shipping containers surrounded the car as it entered the narrow path leading to an old manufactory. Yoongi parked the car before the large building, taking a peek at the dirty grilled windows.
