30: My Man

Amie's POV

"No, I mean, I can't.  I have work and you know that." I uttered.

"Mawawala ako ng isang buwan. Hindi kita makikita. Kung pwede nga lang itali kita sakin para hindi tayo maghiwalay eh." nag-aalalang sagot niya. I kissed his cheeks and smile.

"I'll just visit you. Practisin mo nalang na wala ako sa tabi mo. Hindi naman lahat ng panahon kasama mo ko."

"Then I'm not going to do the project."

"If you do that, Let's break up." I replied.

"Look, It's a great opportunity for you, Chani. So what, kung hindi mo ko makakasama. We're together for 8 years and separated for 2 years. You can live without me, right? Now go, Continue your dream and passion. It's for your own sake."

"Thank you. I'm really lucky that you're my girlfriend."

"You can't go to Lay's wedding no? Nevermind ako na bahala don." nagdrive na siya at kumain kami sa isang restaurant. Hindi rin kami nagtagal dahil may meeting siya at pinapunta ko na rin siya dun. Ayoko naman ako ang maging dahilan para hindi niya matupad ang gusto niya sa buhay.

Umuwi na ako sa apartment at si Akeesha lang ang taong nakita ko. Namamaga ang mata niya at abdaming bote ng alak ang nagkalat sa table.

Kinuha ko ang alak at uminom ng isang shot. "Why are you being like this? Break na kayo ni Zack?"

"Amie, Hindi ko na kaya." umiyak siya sa balikat ko at tinap ko naman ang likod niya.

"Excel still loves me and I'm now confused. You know how much I love Zack but when Excel shows up? There's a feeling. It's different how I saw Zack as a person."

"You need to choose, Akeesha. Zack loves you more than anything and I even imagine him like Jene. And Excel loves you after leaving you after many years?  Then why Excel left you when he really loved you back then?"

"Because he wants to fulfill his dreams without me and promise to come back when he did it. And now, He's already a doctor with degree. He came here today and punch Zack like a douchebag when he saw us hugging."

"That's why our apartment is such a mess." I hissed.  "So Akeesha, Which guy would you choose?"

"Ano to, ABCD? Amie naman. It's really difficult."

"I'm already done with that, Barnes. So kung sino ang masaktan yung ang umalis hindi yung papatagalin mo na para kang tanga. Sorry for the term, Akeesha. I really love Jian but you know I love Sean more than everything. Jian deserves someone else and it was not me."

"What if I'll pick Excel? Zack will hates me so much. He really loves me and ready to turn over everything. And if ever I'll pick Zack,—"

"I don't know. I think I still love Excel. I can't."

"Hindi naman masama magmahal ng dalawang tao, Akeesha. Maybe destined na yun na may isang masasaktan. Love is only for two people. Choose wisely, Akeesha. Minsan lang tayo main love."

"The pain is killing me. Bakit parang sayo wala lang. Alam mo kung ako sayo, Si Jian ang pipiliin ko. Sabi mong di mo siya deserve? No! Sean doesn't deserve someone like you. Althea, Masaya ba? Are you happy being in a secret relationship with him while Jian willing to do everything just for you?"
