What if Series Nine: Everything Has Changed

One month had passed...

"Okaerinasai, Kotoko-chan!" a bunch of people had welcomed me in the doorstep. I embraced myself for I was feeling cold for the whole ride. Somewhat I regret making decisions like this. An old woman barged in and hugged me.

She cried in my clothes, "I miss you so much. I thought I would never see you again. But I'm glad you're fine." she said and I don't know what to say... know I don't know how to expose my feelings. "Finally, you are back," she said and hugged me once again. "Mom, stop that. Don't get too confused about your emotions. We are glad that she's come here to live with us."

Naoki-san had interrupted and I was thankful for what he did. "Kotoko." he called me and I turned to him, waiting for what he was able to say, "This is my mom. She's Irie Noriko. You are so close to her. Since your mom had passed away since you were young and you can't remember her anymore... you treated her as your mom. You two were close." He explained. I tried to smile, "I see..."

"Welcome back, Kotoko baka-chii!" a teenage boy at the back said it to me and I questioned him, "Baka? Did you just call me an idiot?" I asked him with my tone being raised high. "Hey, you are rude," I told him. I can't help but I'm quite insulted. I can't remember anyone and yet he called me an idiot? Unbelievable. Naoki-san called him in, "Yuki... apologize now." he warned him. He quickly admitted, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be like that, it's just... Never mind. I understand now." and he murmured, "Things can't be restored anymore... how depressing." and Naoki-san called him again. "Yuki, please stop." he pleaded. "Anyway, that is my brother. He's Yuki and he used to get you a nice teasing a lot. I'm apologizing for his rude behavior." I responded, "Since you said it that way... it's fine."

A man with a weird hair on top took the time to be noticed by me. He was wearing a wig? Shoot, he's just that shamefaced. I mean, is he even a man? Or might as well as gay? Gosh, he even wore make-ups! "Kotoko! I'm glad you are finally okay! If you haven't still remembered, we are your friends. We are colleagues at the same time. I'm Kikyo Motoki. I don't want to hope but do you even remember me? Or even worked with me in the hospital? Please remember as a beautiful woman please!" he asked but when I was about to answer him no, he immediately pulled me for a hug. "I also miss you. It's even tough for us to see you suffering like that," he said as he caressed my back.

"Anyway... I can't cry." he broke it off and then held me on my shoulders. And a fine-looking man pushed him away, "It's our turn now, Motoki. You're getting carried away." and he cleared his voice, "I'm Kamogari Keita. Nice meeting you once again, Kotoko." he formally stretched his hand and I just looked at, fighting over in my mind whether to accept it or not.

"Never mind." he put it away and said something, "It's okay... you don't have to force yourself. I understand. I just want you to know that we are your friends and we will always be there for you." and he's getting yelled at, "Stop that, Keita! You're the one who's getting carried away!" Motoki pushed him. A loud and sexy lady pulled out their ears and gave them a thorough beating, "We agreed that we are going to act normal around her and you just broke the code!" she said through her anger, she sure has managed the two of them and when they finally got silent, it was her turn to say, "Hey, I'm Shinagawa Marina-san. I just got married the other month with Seichi Funatsu, by the way, he's your husband's number one rival. I think you should be aware of that, Kotoko. By the way... I'm so happy to see you again. I hope for your fine recovery."

And another angel looking lady barged over that bunch of crowds and she almost got me frightened. I breathed, "Hey, don't forget about me! I'm Tomoko Ogura! Even though you forget about us, Kotoko-chan! I will never get tired of introducing myself to you. And I will not say this to you but... I'm your first friend when you transfer to the Nursing Department!"
