Treasure and Training

April 18th

Madran's group were back in Mementos and were busy waiting for Akira's group to arrive when Suga decided to start a conversation.

"Hey, so, what do you think Shadow Kamoshida'll turn into?"

"Well, the goal is to avoid that..."

"Honestly, our record of actually stealing the treasure is about as clean as my bedroom. Hmm, well, the only other one who had ambitions like Kamoshida was Shiini, and his shadow was Zeus, so I'm thinking some cool dude who actually wasn't cool due to his inability to not chase girls."

"That's... literally Zeus."

"Oh well, something like that."

"We should probably go towards the more Biblical side. Remember how my shadow became Seraph? Maybe, he turns into some high general of Hell or something."

"Maybe. Ooh, or he could be one of those freaky demons from Japanese myth."

"Ew, those things are weird."

"Exactly."

Just then, Akira walked up to the entrance.

"Oh, hey there."

"Hi, Joker."

"Well, do you want good news or bad news?"

"Um, good news first."

"We found the way to stop the scythes, but I called it a day and headed back. Now, for the bad news. Mona found me in the real world."

"Oh. Um, good luck...?"

Everyone else arrived, and Ann walked up to Sheila.

"So, what're we doing today?"

"Getting the treasure. When everyone's ready, I can take us to the Safe Room."

Ryuji and Morgana arrived, and Philemon transported everyone to the latest Safe Room. Once there, Madran stepped out to the very familiar and annoying shifty floor, and looked to the stairs.

"Ok, well, did you put the things in to stop the trap, or did you just get them?"

"I put them in. Let's go."

Madran and Akira led everyone to the trap, where two circular gems were put in the eye sockets of the head bust. They all then went through, and walked up some more stairs.

"Gosh, these stairs are weird."

"Yeah, you're right."

Madran watched as each individual step rose from the floor, and took them to a decorated, circular room with many corrupted floor parts sticking out.

"Ok, just up here is the treasure!"

Madran stood at the empty staircase, but no steps came up.

"Fools. The stairs don't rise for everyone..."

Madran turned around and began to scan. Chicory growled and lowered himself slightly, with everyone else looking around confusedly. Then, an elite shadow rose from the floor.

"I was sure that you lot would be here. Your quest for King Kamoshida's treasure ends here!"

"What, are you going to turn into some boring shadow that I quickly take out?"

The shadow laughed and transformed into slime Mara. Ann let out a shocked scream and hid her eyes.

"Ew! Not this crap again!"

Madran sighed.

"Goodness, grown men and their... slime dicks."

Suga snickered.
