May 5th

Madran was messing around with Chicory on a walk when her phone went off and she saw that Suga was calling her. Madran then picked up.

"Hi, Suga, what's up?"

"Oh, nothing too crazy, how about you?"

"I'm walking Chicory. Say hi, Chicory!"

Madran held the phone down to Chicory, who barked.

"Aww, hi, Chicory. So, I have good news!"

"What happened?"

"Well, Akira sold that medal, and got enough money to pay for something really expensive. Ann then decided to go to that hotel place and have Akira treat everyone to a buffet meal there! I'm already going since I don't want Ryuji getting into trouble, but Akira was wondering if you, Sheila, and someone else can come along. He crunched the numbers like a champ, and figured out that he can bring himself, his group, and a few people from our group. Also, pets aren't allowed in that hotel."

"Well, there goes the obvious choice. Um, I'll chat with Maya, Wysteria, and Philemon."

"Ooh, yeah, speaking of mom, she wants to go on our next infiltration. Um, I'm sorry about yesterday."

"I mean, your mom is both badass and kinda scary."

"As dad said once, 'don't tangle with the Camases.' Heh, he happened to say that when we changed Proctora's heart."

"I mean, he ain't wrong. Um, did your mom decide on a codename yet?"

"Uh, yeah, she said that she would like to be called Madame."

"Madame? Ok, sounds cool."

"Alright, I gotta go. Bye bye!"

Suga hung up and then sent a text.

Suga: Oh, by the way, the thing's in a few hours. It's like a brunch of sorts.
Madran: Crap, why didn't you tell me that?
Suga: I forgot :(

Madran sighed and put her phone away, finishing the walk. Once she got back home and sat down with Chicory, she filled Elia in on the ordeal.

"Hey, mom, so, I have a question."

"Yeah, what is it?"

"So, basically, Akira sold that medal that was Kamoshida's treasure, and got alotta money from it. He then decided to invite his friends and some of my group to this fancy hotel for brunch. Um, can I go?"

Elia sighed.

"Madran, I'm perfectly ok with that, but I wanted to spend some time with you. It's Children's Day."

"Oh, don't worry, it's not for a few more hours. We can spend plenty of time!"

"Well, I mean, you can go, I just had some cool presents that I wanted to give to you."

"Oh, right, those!"

Madran looked around for any conspicuous boxes, with Elia chuckling.

"Hey, hold on."

Elia ran off to her room and came back with a few boxes.

"Ok, here we are. Sheila had some say in this, and mentioned having some 'connections' and such."

"Ooh, let's open this one!"

Madran pulled a box close to her and carefully removed the wrapping, as to not damage it at all. She then saw that there was a black box that rattled a lot when she shook it.
