A Most Glorious Betrayal

Rosana walked cautiously into the palace with Haru as they both looked around.

"Of all times to not have Madran around, why now?"

"Perhaps, Haru can get us a map."

"Ooh, you're right."

Rosana then examined a large entrance room with empty reception desks and spotted a place to go behind it. However, once Haru walked up to them, a rather commanding voice that sounded much like an older man spoke up.

"Haru Okumura, please, proceed past the reception desks."

Haru gasped.

"T-That's dad...?"

"That's the alternate version of Okumura, or his shadow. I mean, I hope it is. C'mon, let's go."

Rosana then went with Haru and stopped at a large sliding door. It then scanned Haru and opened.

"Wow, so, you're basically a key, huh?"

"Yeah, seems so."

The voice then spoke up again.

"Whoever is with my daughter, please, stop at the door."

Rosana looked at the line on the floor that marked where the doors slid and gently placed her foot over it. Upon seeing that no alarms went off, she fully crossed the line, with Haru also continuing.

"Very well, Haru, if you insist that she must accompany you."

"I... thanks?"

Rosana walked with Haru down a few curved hallways, all with various screens on them displaying what Rosana interpreted to be stocks. Then, as they walked into another larger room, Rosana got a chill up her spine and quickly turned back and activated the shield on her right arm, which stopped the door from closing behind them.

"W-Whoa, Rosana, what the..."

"Hey, Shadow Okumura, I dunno what you're trying to pull here, but it isn't going to work."

The doors then appeared to relent and go back.

"A sporty teenaged girl from the South American continent, prone to causing trouble and annoyance for others... I won't let you bring your corruption to my daughter."

"Hey, that's racist, you xenophobic shit!"

A few odd robots then surrounded Rosana and Haru, with Rosana seeing that they all were floating orbs with small triangular masks on the part facing them.

"Soldiers, eliminate this pest. I will not allow her to harm my daughter!"

The shadows then transformed into three Scathachs, with Haru stepping behind Rosana.

"Uh, Rosana, you'd better show me what you meant by that combative ability right about now!"

"Gotcha. You might be right, I do come from a family of trouble, but I can't stand for people who don't let their child get a little time in the sun. You might get burnt, or you might just have a fun time! That's how life works, my friend."

"P-Persuasion?"

"No, I just like to talk. Now, witness my power! Come, Boudica!"

Rosana then summoned Boudica and immediately hit the Scathachs with a Makajamon, which made them fail to retaliate at all. Then, Rosana hit them with a handful of Mapsiodynes and even reflected a Garudyne back at one of them via a Makarakarn.

"Haru, hold on, just a little longer!"

"O-Ok!"

Rosana then stuck two of the shadows with a few Shibaboos and utilized another Mapsiodyne, which killed the two trapped enemies and only left one. Then, Rosana smacked her with her shield, which ended the fight.
