August 14th
Madran arrived back in the Velvet Room to see that only Philemon was there. Then, as Chicory took up residence on the sofa, Madran sat in a chair, awaiting for Philemon to notice her.
"Ah, Madran, you've arrived early."
"Yep."
"Lovely. Actually, since it's just us three, can I ask you something?"
"Is it about yesterday?"
Philemon nodded and turned to her.
"Did you ask Chicory what he saw? From what you told us, when you were taken into that odd dimension, the cognitive Elia, before becoming Shadow Elia, said that Chicory was in the same situation."
"Well, no, not really. Hey, is there a way that we can get Chicory to summon Yorick in here?"
"Hmm. Maybe, we could take a small trip to Mementos."
"Good idea. Hey, Chicory, over here!"
Madran then guided Chicory into Mementos, with Philemon following her.
"Ok, now, Chicory, can you summon Yorick and tell us what you saw?"
Chicory then summoned Yorick, with him tapping his fingers together.
"Ok, well, Chicory saw much of the stuff that Madran talked about seeing, but the changes start when Madran talked about seeing Travert read the letter to Elia. Instead, we saw Elia and Travert get into an argument about keeping Chicory, with Shadow Elia listing Chicory as one of the reasons as to why the palace formed. Apparently, Chicory, as well as Madran, were the two causes of the formation of the palace: Madran brought attention from Elia's parents again and ruined the marriage, apparently, and Chicory and I caused Elia's and Travert relationship to regress slightly back to what her parents were like."
"Well, we still don't know what her distorted desires are."
"Well, didn't you hear her say it? Her want to keep everything about her past a secret even from the most important people around her who could've helped caused herself to view herself as the lone patient in a nut-job house, due to how she thought that even if she told, say, Travert, he wouldn't believe her due to how bad it was."
Madran nodded.
"Wow, that's... pretty bad. I guess we gotta rectify this whole issue, huh? I mean, the two causes of the palace are also gonna be the causes of it's downfall, yeah?"
Yorick nodded at that statement.
"Exactly. I'm glad that you're not freaking out about this."
"I mean, I kinda saw it coming. I was also the reason, partly, for the formation of dad's palace, I mean, like, one of his desires were to hold onto me forever."
Yorick sighed and looked around.
"I kinda wish that I would be able to give him a piece of my mind, but, oh well. Let's get back, I bet that everyone's been arriving."
The trio then entered the Velvet Room once more, with Madran looking around to see that everyone was there.
"Hey, uh, sorry for the wait. Chicory also has something to tell you guys once we get to the Metaverse."
"Hey, what's the plan for today?"
"I'm hoping to make our way to the treasure on the third floor, but I don't know how successful that will be. Let's just hope and pray, yeah?"
The group nodded and went out to the Metaverse with Madran. Then, Chicory summoned his persona as Yorick began to detail what he had told Madran and Philemon.
