It's crazy how we can never really know how the other person is feeling and what is actually going on in their life. Humans are good at putting up fake smiles. Sometimes it's for hypocritical reasons, where it's a sickening smile, just so people would think that you are all goody good and nice. Sometimes it's in order for people not to ask questions like "why do you look so sad" . Sometimes it's a protective mechanism. But sometimes, it's in order not to hurt or worry the ones around you.
I was hit with some absolutely horrible allergies today. I haven't felt this bad in a really long time. I was on a walk with my friend and I asked her if we could go home already because I just couldn't walk anymore, I felt drained. I could see how worried she was. She is my best friend, she knows how much I struggle with this allergy and she always is so careful around me when I get it. We were already near my house, saying goodbye, and she seemed so heartbroken looking at me. She hugged me super tight and I felt so bad for making her feel sad because of me. I was smiling the whole time. Not like a creepy smile 😂 but just trying to lighten up the mood a bit. I was like, it's okay, I'll deal. I was breaking on the inside but I didn't want to worry her even more than I already was.

This is what I looked like right after my allergy and the next one was taken a few hours later after I took a shower and got ready. I look all put together but no one knows that I was on the verge of breaking down. I was going out with my friends but the thing I wanted to do the most was stay at home and cry in my bed. So much stuff was bothering me and I was just blowing up.
Why am I writing this, you probably wanna ask me? I just wanted to say that, make sure you are careful with people, their emotions and feelings. Don't assume. If something seems wrong- ask. Don't push. Just make sure the person is comfortable. Be empathetic, be kind. That's it. 💖
