Nariah Ayche'a Washington
"What you doing here?" He asked, leaning up against the doorframe.
"I needed to see you. I miss you Phoenix"
He chuckled and looked me up and down "I been waiting for 2 months and you think you can just pop up with this I miss you shit? Get off my doorstep" and with that he shut the door in my face.
I hesitated on knocking but that didn't matter cause Phoenix opened the door. He looked down at me and I looked away. I can't even lie, he'd got buffer and looks like more tattoos are in him.
"What you doing here?" He asked leaning against the doorframe.
"I needed to see you. I miss you Phoenix" I said honestly. Not seeing this man for 2 months have been hell.
"I miss you too baby girl" he said. He grabbed the duffle bags at my feet "Damn girl, what's in here?" I ignored his question and walked over to the couch. He put the bags by the couch then sat down. I sat down on the other side of the couch. "Where you been?"
"Around. Handling things. Figuring things out" I answered.
He nodded slowly "You done running from me?" He asked. I nodded and held back the tears that wanted to fall. I'm shocked that he's not cussin me out or that he didn't tell me to leave like I thought he would.
Phoenix reached out for me and I climbed into his lap, straddling him. Damn, I missed this so much. I missed Phoenix so much. I laid my head in the crock of his neck and cuddled closer to him.
All the things Phoenix said the night o left rushed back into my head. Lucky's never been here for me. Phoenix has been here for me every step. Now I know, its just my baby and me.
Phoenix King Harris
Damn, I missed having Nariah in my arms. Real shit. Hearing her breathing level out and the grip she had on my shirt loosen up, I knew she was asleep.
I reached over for the remote and turned the TV on just as channel 7 news was coming on. A story about a dog saving its owner from drowning was on. The owner was on a dock. Dumb ass. If u can't swim, don't get close to deep water.
Just in, William Michael was just found dead in his home. Police think it was a robbery gone wrong since most of his Money and jewelry is missing. There haven't been any witnesses to come forward and or any prints leading to a suspect.
This case is slowly going cold.
Baby girl straight thuggin huh? I know it was hard for her to kill her pops but I'm glad she did. Not for me, for her.
If she wouldn't have killed her pops, she'd be living with that guilt if not getting him for her mom. Anyway, I'm proud of her.
My baby.
