Gluttony peered curiously at the face behind the cloak. He placed his forearm on her forehead, and then her cheek. She was warm. Despite the stingingly cold weather, Temperance's face felt like burning. 'Are you sure you're okay?' Gluttony asked, his palm lingering a little longer on her cheek, 'shouldn't we go home now?'

His hand found it's way down to Temperance's hand, hiding in her pockets. He grabbed and held her hand. Her palms were freezing. He caressed her smaller hand calmingly, though his heart slightly raced. What if the effects were far worse than he imagined? What will happen to her? What will happen to them?

.

The weather felt colder. Leaves in hues of orange were falling gracefully from their branch, and landing quietly on the surface. Autumn has always been one of Patience's favourite seasons. The serenity felt truer than ever, especially when walking through parks and forests.

Patience pocketed his hands in his pants. For one time, he wasn't wearing something head over heels feminine. Not that he's losing interest in them. He honestly wished he could go back into his favoured type of outfits soon. It was because none of his clothes were suitable enough for autumn wearing. Mama bought him new clothes because she was worried he'll catch unwanted diseases in the cold weather.

He couldn't see how that's a suitable reason, but he knew Mama did that for his own health and good.

Diligence paced around the room anxiously, hand stuck on his chin as he brainstormed. It was nearly impossible, but there has to be a way. There has to be a loophole out of this apocalypse. But what? And how?

'Okay, so that bitch betrayed us. She took most of our stuff with her, leaving us with almost nothing. We're running out of food and health supplies. Kindness and Lust are dead, Charity is infected and dying, Sloth and Patience are missing, and,' Diligence paused for a breath. He hadn't noticed everyone's worried stares, fixed upon him. Had he been that frantic?

The rain visibly disappeared. There was also no sign of the Quidditch players. Chastity sat tightly in her seat. The podium and the field started to fade into hazy colours, but the sharp gazes she received from everyone remained. Her instincts kept telling her to run away from the stadium, but her legs won't move.

The stormy atmosphere turned blindingly bright in mere seconds. Chastity's eyelids reluctantly fluttered open. There was no Quidditch or rain. There was only her seatmate staring down at her, looking concerned. She sat upright, her head slightly swimming.

She couldn't possibly have slept through the lesson. What came over her? Chastity scanned the class to see that no one had noticed her sleeping. Professor Binns was still droning about Wendelin the Weird and everyone seemed just as drained as she was. Relief washed over her as she averted her gaze to her desk.

A note simply lied there, a white lily pinned innocently on the edge.

Greed stared blankly at her desk. Something wasn't supposed to be there. She put down her briefcase and walked over to her desk, examining the messily wrapped box. Putting the note aside, she unwrapped the box. Inside it was a figurine of a character she's seen in kids' TV shows.

She picked it up, examining it. It seemed pretty useless. Worked as nothing more than a display. She picked up the note, hoping for information. The note seemed to be handwritten by someone who skipped their preschool, judging by the misspellings.

'Akram told us it was your birtdhay so have our mr krabs becaus he reminds us of you —mido and neith'

Greed reread the note before scoffing and threw both away in the trash can next to her desk. She sat down and activated her laptop. She had more important things to do than her birthday.

'No,' Envy debated, 'I caught it first, fair and square.' He glanced at everyone anxiously, heart starting to swell. He wanted to cuss. Why are they acting like they know it all? Who the hell are they to decide the true story? They weren't even there to witness it.

Perhaps it was because Wrath was standing next to him, but he didn't care. He had caught the Snitch first, it was in his firm grasp. But the Gryffindors must have sabotaged the game, being that keen for victory. It definitely wasn't fair. The weather was dangerously cloudy and rainy.

'None of you actually witnessed what happened up there,' Envy clenched his fist tighter around his Nimbus Two Thousand And One. He breathed quickly, pointing at Mischievous. 'It was only your Seeker and myself up there. How can you all be so sure? I caught the Snitch first.'
