I'm swinging around the city, looking for any more small crimes to help with. I already helped a few people out today, and I should probably be getting home soon.

I land on the sidewalk and walk up to a stranger, "Excuse me, sir?"

He turns around, eyes widening as he sees who is speaking to him, "Spider-Girl!! H-hi!"

"Hi! Would you mind telling me what time it is?" I ask.

"O-oh, of course n-not!" he exclaims, fumbling around for his phone. He finally turns it on and looks at the screen, "Um... It is 4:30."

Yikes! I only have 30 minutes until Layla comes over! I should definitely be getting home! "Thank you so much!" I exclaim, swinging away.

I land in front of the alleyway where I stashed my backpack. I dart into the dark alley, my eyes focused on the dumpster that my backpack is hiding under.

"Mph!" I grunt as I hit something solid.

I fall to the ground, hard.

"Ow," I mumble, squinting into the dark alley to see what I hit.

My eyes widen as I notice four figures in black staring at me.

Three of the men I can see the faces of, but the one I bumped into has his face completely covered, except for his eyes.

"What is going on here? Who is this?" one man asks with an odd accent.

I quickly look around, trying to figure out what exactly these four guys are doing in the alley.

I notice a large black case being held by one of the men farthest from me. "Hey... that looks like a weapons case..." I, for some reason, state this out loud.

"Stay out of this, Spider-Girl!" the muffled voice of the mystery man reaches my ears.

I slowly stand up. "Stay out of what?" I ask suspiciously, starting to put together what is going on here.

"Just leave!" the mystery man exclaims, seeming to be annoyed that I'm not listening to him.

I ignore his demand, eyeing the case again. "You know... I don't think you should have this..." I say casually, quickly releasing a web, aiming for the case. The webbing lands on the case. I quickly yank back on the web, trying to pull the case away from these people.

However, the man's grip is strong, and out of nowhere, something solid collides with my cheek, knocking me onto the ground.

My heart beats faster as I realize I just started my first real fight as a superhero.

My Spidey Sense warns me of the next attack, allowing me to roll onto my side just before another punch was going to hit me.

I quickly stand back up, mentally trying to go over everything those YouTube videos taught me about combat.

While I'm distracted by my thoughts, another fist collides with my stomach, pushing me into a wall.

As I try to catch my breath, my Spidey Sense begins going off like crazy!

I crawl up the wall, out of reach of any fist attacks, before flipping over their heads and landing a few punches and kicks of my own.

Using a combination of webs, kicks, and punches, I manage to save myself from getting completely wrecked, but I still receive quite a few blows.

After a few minutes of this, I'm finally beginning to win the fight!

The man with the strange accent grabs my leg mid kick.

Oops. Spoke too soon.

He shoves my leg away from him, knocking me on the ground once again.

My head hits the cement.

"GAH!!!!" I shout, holding my head in my hands, trying to get the throbbing to stop.

"Let's get out of here!" someone exclaims.

No! I can't let them get away!

Trying to ignore my head, I stand up, wobbling a bit.

However, by the time I am stable, all four of the men have escaped.

"No..." I groan, leaning against the wall.

Tears begin welling up in my eyes as I start to acknowledge pain.

My entire head hurts and I am sure I am bleeding in some places.

Hopefully I have a healing factor like Spider-Man also.

I stand up slowly, limping over to the dumpster with my backpack underneath it.

As I begin to slip the bag over my shoulder, I think about what I just witnessed.

Obviously something shady was going on, and it definitely had to do with whatever was in that case.

I may have lost the battle, but I am going to win the war!

I need to get to the bottom of this.
