I step out through the front doors of the school and close my eyes, taking a deep breath, inhaling the sweet spring air.

And what comes after spring?

Summer. I can't wait for summer.

While I am lost in thought, I feel a tingle - seconds before a finger taps my shoulder.

I open my eyes and turn around, finding Layla standing there.

"Hi! We might want to get going... The bus is going to leave soon," she states, shifting her backpack slightly as she begins walking in the direction of the bus.

"Oh, yeah," I follow Layla and step into the bus.

A few minutes later the doors close and the engine starts.

I look down at my backpack, sighing as I remember all the homework I'm going to have to do. Then I remember that after I finish my homework, I can work on my secret project some more!

I perk up a bit at that thought, and start thinking about what I have left to work on. Even if I have to pull another late night, I want to try to finish the project tonight or tomorrow. Then I can start practicing! Then Spider-Man can come into the light!

I'm pulled slightly out of my thoughts by Layla saying "Is that ok, Crystal?"

I give a barely audible, "Yeah, sure," and nod my head slightly.

I'm pulled completely out of my thoughts a few minutes later when the bus driver calls out the name of the street I live on.

I quickly grab my backpack, wave to Layla, and exit the bus.

I start walking towards my house, but once the bus pulls away, I begin sprinting.

I do not want to lose any time to work on my spider gear!
