"Crystal!"

I close my locker and turn around. "Hey, Layla..." I say awkwardly. It is still weird knowing that Layla is in on my secret.

Layla grins eagerly, "Are you ready to start research on you know what tonight?"

I can't help but smile, I'm really glad to see how excited she is, "Yep! Just remember-"

"It's a secret. Don't say anything that may give it away. We don't want anyone knowing about what is going on," Layla interrupts.

"Exactly!"

"I can't wait for school to be over! I'm so excited!" Layla squeals.

I close the door to my room, turning around to see a very eager Layla. I grin, "Ready?"

"Yes!" Layla exclaims, taking a seat on my bed.

I sit down at my desk and log onto my computer. I look at Layla, "So... where should we start?"

"Well... I was hoping we could actually start at the beginning! I would like to first know what you can do, some things about your suit, etc..."

"Oh, sure!" I stand up and begin showing Layla what I can do.

About half an hour later, Layla writes down her last note on my powers while I grab my suit.

I lay it on my bed and Layla begins examining it, "This is really cool, Crystal!"

"Thanks! I made sure it is fire and water proof!" I state proudly.

"Do you have an AI or special tech in the suit?" Layla asks, examining the suit.

"Uh... no? I know about coding, but not that much! I'm better with chemicals and engineering," I respond.

"This is were your 'Gal in the Chair' comes in! I'm planning on majoring in computer science, Crystal!" Layla says excitedly.

"That's right! You are! Do you really think you could make me an AI and other special things?" I ask excitedly.

"Maybe! I would have to do a lot of research, and it will probably take some time... but I think I can!" Layla exclaims, looking at me eagerly.

"Awesome! Ready to get to the real reason we came here?"

"Almost! I just have one more thought... We should probably have a way to talk while you are wearing your suit. In case you need me to look something up for you. I'll make a note to work on the coding for that as well," Layla quickly scribbles something on her paper.

"Okay! Now... about those shady men..." I say, returning to my computer.

"Yeah... do you have any idea what was in that case?" Layla asks, preparing to make another page of notes.

I sigh, frustrated, "No! I almost had it, but then I got the punch to my face! It looked like a weapons case... but I can't be sure."

"Okay..." Layla replies thoughtfully.

I perk up, "I just remembered something! One of the men who spoke had a strange accent! Also, him and his companions had a few noticeable scars, and seemed tough... Maybe they have a criminal record!"

"Great! Except... it will take a long time to go through every criminal record in the world... if only we knew what his accent was..."

I sigh again, "Yeah..."

"Anything else?" Layla asks.

"Not really... except that the mystery guy spoke... but his voice was too muffled for me to recognize anything about it."

"Well... I guess all we can do for now is keep an eye out for them... and get started on the tech for the suit!" Layla exclaims, getting excited again.

"Yeah, I guess so. However, we should probably work on our project for school..." I reply with a chuckle.

"Aww... But this is so much more interesting!" Layla pouts.

"Just the other day you were complaining about me not working on it!" I exclaim.

Layla laughs quietly, "Okay... you're right. Let's get to work!"
