English class is so boring!
I let my mind wander to last night's patrol as Spider-Girl.
Not a lot happened. I stopped a few people from stealing purses and wallets, helped some elderly folk cross the street safely, and took a stray dog to the shelter. I am a bit sad that I won't be able to patrol tonight... but I promised Layla!
"Crystal!"
I sit up straight in my seat, "Uh... yes, Miss?"
The teacher frowns at me, "Can you answer this question?"
"Oh... of course!"
A few minutes later, the bell rings, dismissing us from school. My schedule used to be science and then gym, but for some reason my schedule was changed slightly, now I have science before English. I still have gym last, but I don't have gym class on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I open the door and step into the hall. Layla quickly appears next to me, "Hi!"
"Hey, Crystal! So, about studying tonight..." Layla begins.
"Don't worry, Layla! I am all ready to study!" I proclaim proudly.
"About that... I can still study tonight, but apparently I have a dentist appointment right after school. My mom didn't tell me until this morning... Can I come over around 5:00?" Layla asks.
"Oh, of course!" I assure her. I am secretly happy about the development. Now I have time to go out as Spider-Girl for a bit!
"Great! See you at five!" Layla exclaims, waving goodbye.
I wave back, then dart into the bathroom. Luckily, I decided to leave my suit in my backpack - in case there was an emergency at school.
