I quietly slip into my suit and proceed to cover it with a hoodie and pants.

I grab a hold of my mask and backpack, stuffing the mask into my pack along with my homework and phone.

I look at myself in the mirror and take a deep breath. Now I just need to wait for Layla to execute her part of the plan we came up with yesterday at lunch.

Perfect!

I quickly walk down the stairs and open the front door, "Hey, Layla!"

"Hi, Crystal! Ready to go study?" Layla asks with a knowing grin.

"Yup!" I call out, "Dad! Layla and I are going to the cafe to study now!"

"Okay! Be careful!"

"Okay, bye!" I quickly step onto the porch, slamming the door behind me.

Layla smiles, "Plan 'Stealthy Spider-Girl' is a go!"

I chuckle, "Really? You named the plan?"

"Of course!" Layla responds, stepping onto the sidewalk, "All the cool missions in movies have names!"

"Of course."

Layla and I step into the cozy little cafe. The smell of fresh baked pastries floats through the air.

"Let's sit at the small table in the corner," I suggest, taking a step in that direction.

We claim the table, sitting down and pulling our homework out.

After a few minutes of actual studying, I begin to grow restless, "I think it is time to continue with the mission."

Layla peers at me from behind her book, nodding in agreement.

I reach into my backpack, casually pulling out my mask and communicator. I slip the mask into my pocket and pop the small device into my ear.

Layla closes her book, "Good luck!"

I smile gratefully, "Plan 'Find the Bad Guys' starts now!"
