(DON'T PLAY THE SONG YET)

cole and gilbert finally decided to put their plan in application. the two boys were sitting in gilbert's room, along with the rest of his friends and beverly.

seeing beverly was hard for cole, but gilbert was his friend.

"what if it doesn't work?" diana asks all of the sudden.

"it will." cole assures her. "i hope."

"why don't you just talk to her?" beverly asks the hazel-eyes boy. "something like 'oh, i really like you let's be together'." the short-haired girls tried to imitate a manly voice.

"there's no way in hell i'll do that." gilbert said.

"so, what time are we gonna do this?" ruby asks.

"6:00pm." cole answered.

diana's phone suddenly vibrated.

jerry
are you guys ready? it's almost 6
17:49.

di
yes. is anne there?

jerry
yeah. hurry up guys.

di
see you in a few

diana typed on her phone, and got up.
"let's go." she said.

-

"jerry, can you explain me what the hell we're doing here?" anne asked the boy.

"just stay here." jerry told the redhead. "i have to go."

"wait? where-" anne tried to say, but the taller boy left before.

suddently, anne could hear a voice sing. it was the neighborhood. her favorite band.

(PLAY THE SONG)

take you like a drug
i taste you on my tounge
you ask me what I'm thinking about
i'll tell you that i'm thinking about
whatever you're thinking about
tell me something that i forget
but you might have to tell me again
it's crazy what you do for fame

the redhead started walking to the place that the music was coming from. she found herself next to a huge slide. the one where gilbert and her used to sit, and talk about random stuff.

go ahead and cry little girl
nobody does it like you do
i know how much it matters to you
i know that you got daddy issues
and if you were my little girl
i'd do whatever i could do
i'd run away and hide with you
i love that you got daddy issues
and i do too

the song had nothing to do with their friendship or anything. it was just one of their favorite song.

i tried to write your name in the rain,
but the rain never came
so i made with the sun
the shame, always comes at the worst time
ask me what i'm thinking about
i'll tell you what i'm thinking about
whatever you're thinking about
tell me something that i'll forget
but you might have to tell me again
it's crazy what you'll do for fame

she had no idea what was going on. but she knew that it had something to do with gilbert.

go ahead and cry little girl
nobody does it like you do
i know how much it matters to you
i know that you got daddy issues
and if you were my little girl
i'd do whatever i could do
i'd run away and hide with you
i love that you got daddy issues

tears started forming onto her face. she really was missing him. his stupid jokes, his hazel-eyes, his stupid sarcasm.

i keep on trying to let you go
not even let you know
how I'm getting on
i didn't cry when you left at first
but now that you're dead it hurts
this time I gotta know
where did my daddy go?
i'm not entirely here
half of me has disappeared

she was literally crying. but who cared anyway? there was no else besides her. well, that's what she thought.

go ahead and cry little boy
you know that your daddy did too
you know what your mama went through
you gotta let it out soon, just let it out

the redhead suddenly found a letter standing on the slide. she was scared to open it. the redhead knew it was from gilbert.

go ahead and cry little girl
nobody does it like you do
i know how much it matters to you
i know that you got daddy issues
and if you were my little girl
i'd do whatever I could do
i'd run away and hide with you
i love that you got daddy issues

her hand was shaking. why are you shaking? it's just a letter.

and i do too
and if you were my little girl
i'd do whatever i could do
i'd run away and hide with you
i love that you got daddy issues
and i do too

the song ended. she finally decided to open the letter.

"oh my god..."

hands down, the neighborhood has the best songs. ik it's not on beat but oh well.
i actually like this chapter.

bye!
