hehehehe, This is low key like a really cute chapter and it's like finally not an angst one lmaooo (even though the book is angst and there's gonna be a lot of that) it's kinda nice to not write angst for once and write some cute stufff❤️

Darryl's POV

"C-could you stay here for a while..?"

I couldn't move.
My face felt hot.

"I-I.." I started, "Uh, sure..!"

Zak let go of the hug and laid back down in his bed. He scooted over and patted the open spot of the bed next to him.

I got on the bed and sat next to him.

Zak then put his head on my shoulder and closed his eyes.

My face was really hot.
I felt like I was burning up.

I felt Zak shift and come closer to me. He snuggled in more and grabbed onto me. I looked down at him and smiled.

He's cute.

NO DARRYL WHAT?! HUH?

Did I just-
Did I just call my best friend cute?! Maybe I did?? DID I?!

Darryl sat there, a big bright red blushing mess, and was still unable to move.

He couldn't help but feel drowsy though..

It couldn't hurt to rest my eyes for a few, would it?

Darryl then proceeded to shut his eyes, too tired to make a decision.

Zak's POV

Zak woke up to Darryl's arms wrapped around him completely. Zak blushed, his cheeks completely red. He was snuggled into Darryl's chest.

He didn't want to wake Darryl up though so he didn't move.

Then all of a sudden a tiny fluffy white dog jumped up and down on the bed.

(No I didn't forget about rat lmao)

Rat started barking and then that's what Darryl woke up to.

Zak pretended to be asleep in Darryl's arms.

"aGg rAt sHusH!!"

Rat came over towards Darryl and Zak and jumped all over the two of them. Zak pretended to just be waking up for the first time and sat up from Darryl's cozy arms.

"Huh..?"

"Rat!! Look what you did!! You woke Geppy up!"

Rat just barked in response. Zak giggled and pet Lucy gently on her head.

"Sorry about her Zak.."

Zak smiled, "It's fine!"

The two boys sat in silence for a minute.

"Soo! Wanna get something to eat..?" Darryl spoke up.

Zak nodded and the two got out of bed and walked downstairs.

Zak frowned. He kind of missed Darryl's arms. When he laid down with him, he felt what felt like butterflies in his stomach. He missed that feeling. It made him happy, He was happy with Darryl.

Darryl walked over to the fridge and glanced at Zak. He seemed to notice that he was frowning.

"Hey, Zak, What's wrong?"

"Oh, sorry! I'm just kinda cold and I don't feel too well." Zak lied.

"I knew you were sick! I'm gonna make you some soup and you're going to lay down right now Geppy!"

Zak giggled and then walked upstairs.

He got back into his bed and held his hands to his chest. 

Did he really like Darryl..?

He couldn't..

Right..?
