JUST A 'LIL BIT
Next morning, when I woke up Dina had already left the house and went to Sam's. Weird.
We were having our breakfast and to my surprise Hunter was with us. Everything was perfect until Ryan opened his mouth. "What did you mean when you said that yesterday?" he said while glaring at Hunter. "What?" Hunter seemed confused. "You know what."
Hunter glanced at me once before speaking, "I was just... messing with you." "Oh, really, I don't-"
"Ryan, let go." I whispered to him. "No, wait," instead of listening he got out of his chair and walked over to Hunter. Oh-oh. Not again.
"Get up," he said rudely. Hunter sighed and got up from his chair, "What?" he stood in front of Ryan. "You took Elena away from me and now you're trying to take her?" Ryan seethed. "What? Ryan it's not what you-"
"It's exactly what I think!" Ryan didn't even let him finish. "You bastard!" before anyone could do anything Ryan charged at Hunter. He punched him in the face and Hunter started bleeding from his mouth. "Okay, if that's what you want." Just in one punch, Ryan fell on the ground. For the first time I had seen Hunter violent. Ryan quickly got up but it was of no use because Hunter walked over to him and started kicking the shit out of him.
"Hunter, let go!" Jason screamed.
He continued kicking Ryan with all his might.
When I came to my senses, me and Jason ran towards them and Jason pulled Hunter away from Ryan who was keeling over on the ground in pain
"Ryan," I helped him up, and he leaned against me.
"Don't you dare take his side, Kiera." Hunter spit some blood on the floor before speaking.
"She doesn't need to bastard!" Ryan shouted. "I'll tell you who's the bastard here," Hunter spewed as he lunged forward to charge at Ryan again, but Jason holding his arm restrained him.
"Shut up!" I shouted, "Just both of you. Enough of it!" I shouted.
Silence occurred.
"Hunter, just go back to your room," I said. "You don't tell me what to do. Just ask your boyfriend to take his ass out of here," Hunter seethed. "Don't you dare yell at her!" Ryan too shouted.
"You're the one because of whom Elena isn't with us now! You took her away!" Hunter suddenly changed the topic.
"That's a f*cking lie. You killed her! You shot her!" Ryan shouted.
What the hell was happening?
"You've been living with that lie your whole life, Maxwell."
"No. You're the one who's living with that lie. You always took me as the culprit. Is that why you've been slowly killing me with your words the whole time?" Ryan said.
"Have I?" Hunter chuckled, "Then why aren't you dead yet?"
Enough now.
"Hunter!" I slapped him hard enough that his face turned and his cheek turned red. He looked at me with a surprising expression.
To be honest, I didn't know myself why I did that.
That expression was quickly replaced by an angry look. Hunter jolted his arm from Jason's grip and brushed pass me with an angry look and marched up the stairs with a thud.
Crap. I shouldn't have done that.
I turned around to watch him leave and he had already disappeared and so did Ryan. I heard Ryan's room's door slamming.
Thank god, he was in his room. I took a step forward, "Don't," I heard Jason say. "What?" I turned to face him, "Don't go after him. Ryan's not good to talk to when he's angry," he told me.
"But—"
"Don't, Kiera. He'll be fine," Jason cut me off.
Actually, I wanted to tell him I wasn't going to Ryan, I was going after Hunter. But never mind. I nodded and went upstairs.
I stood in front of Hunter's room door. I think I should apologize. It wasn't his fault. Ryan started it, Hunter didn't.
My heart was pounding as I knocked on the door. He didn't answer, so I slowly turned the knob and found him standing near the window, his back against me.
"Hunter," I stood inside the room and closed the door behind me. "Get the hell outta here," he barked without looking at me. "Please, just—"
"I said leave, Kiera," he finally walked over to me and his voice was so loud that it made me jump.
"Hunter, look, I'm s—"
"Do you still have to say something? Do you still wanna hit me? okay, I'm standing right in front of you. Do it!"
"Hunter, it's n—"
"You took his side thrice even though he was wrong. You slapped me twice for no reason. You should be lucky you're still standing here in one piece." His look was nothing but filled with disdain.
"J—"
He continued to speak, "You're taking a very good advantage of being a girl, Kiera, and above all you're t—"
I didn't wait for him to finish. I did what Hunter usually did. And it was involuntary.
He moaned into my mouth when my lips covered his. I planted each of my hands on either side of his face. He kept resisting me but I didn't back off. I kept my lips pressed against his and he finally let go. I was able to taste the anger and the blood. I don't know if it was my hormones or something else, but I felt completely out of control. The noises coming from the back of his throat made me even hungrier for him, and I caught them with my breath.
At one point, I rubbed my tongue gently around the cut on his lip and he closed his eyes and his arms encircled my waist. Then, he took over and started to kiss me harder, more demanding. I pushed my body into his and felt his muscles tightening. I didn't care about any of the consequences in that moment. Heck, I didn't even care if Ryan walked into the room at this very moment.
With slow steps, Hunter backed me against the wall. I wrapped my legs around his waist and my hands travelled up to his hair. His mouth was hot and wet as it devoured mine, his tongue circling the inside almost desperately. This was far more intense than the last two times we'd kissed, and I realized this was what a real kiss feels like. This was different and a prelude to something more.
He stopped kissing me for a moment and his hand came up to the length of my neck. He pulled my hair, bending my neck back. He sucked on the base before kissing his way back up and sighing into my mouth.
I don't know what was happening but whatever was happening, I totally loved it.
He pulled his mouth away from mine and buried his nose in my hair. I felt his hot panting against my forehead.
I unwrapped my legs and Hunter lowered me to the ground. I was still trying to catch my breath and so was he.
He finally pulled away from me and looking away from me, he said coldly, "Leave."
Okay, that was humiliating, considering what just happened. Does he regret it?
Probably not.
Probably yes.
"I think I told you something," his voice startled me out of my thoughts. I looked up at him but he wasn't looking at me.
I was...
Humiliated?
Angry?
Mad?
Confused?
Disappointed?
Or...
Hurt?
