LAST WISH

My world stopped spinning right then and there.

Hunter....

Shit!

"We gotta get to him," Sam said heavily.

We ran to where Kellan had parked the car earlier. I almost tripped twice but I didn't care because I wanted to make sure Hunter was okay.

This all wouldn't be happening if I just wouldn't be dumb enough to understand that it was Hunter who was always there for me, not Ryan. He loved me in his own messed up way but he did anyway. I hated him because I thought he was the bad guy.

No, wait. Everyone made him the bad guy.

Now, the picture was clear.

Rose accusing him that night, Hunter never saying anything back, Rose never letting him leave the house and him acting like that he didn't care at all.

Kellan drove the car in its full speed and everything was blurring beside me. I felt like I'd throw up while thinking what had happened to Hunter.

In a flash, we were running inside the hospital, finding Hunter. The nurse at the reception told us that Hunter was in the ICU and doctors were treating him.

When we reached the ICU's door, I found Rose, Ryan, Jason and Camilla already standing there. When Ryan's eyes landed on me, he walked over to me through the crowd. "Where were you?" he took my hands in his'. "I thought—"

"Don't touch me," I jolted my hands away from his grip and his eyebrows furrowed by my action. "You're mad at me?" he asked. "This isn't my fault, Kiera. I told—"

"This all is your fault. Everything is your fault!" I slapped his chest and he stepped back a little.

"You think I called Braden there to kill Hunter?" he said.

"Yes, maybe you did. Who knows? Lying is one of your talents, isn't it?" I shouted.

"What? What has gotten into you?" he sounded confused.

"Didn't you prove yourself innocent by making Hunter the culprit every time?" I stated.

He stood there confused for a second but then realization occupied his face. "Do you really believe them, Kiera? They're Hunter's friends, they will try to save his ass only," Ryan hissed.

I wasn't paying attention to whatever Ryan was saying.

From the corner of my eye, I saw the doctor coming out from the ICU. I quickly ran to him, cutting Ryan in between.

Before I could ask something from the doctor, Dina said, "Doctor, how's he?" her voice was heavy because she was constantly crying.

"He's been shot twice in the heart and stabbed five times in the ribs. It's a miracle he's still breathing. We're trying our best but I can't say anything sure about him being...out of danger," doctor told us and walked away.

Dina burst into tears and buried her head into Sam's chest, who was standing beside her then. "He's gonna be okay, Dina." He assured her.

"Nothing's gonna happen to him." I whispered.

Dina slowly turned her face towards me and in a flash; her eyes which were filled with tears earlier were now filled with anger.

"If anything...anything happens to him, I'm gonna turn your world upside down, Kiera Summers," she gave me a dead glare. "Mark. My. Words." She added.

Mark. My. Words.

That's what Hunter used to say.

She left me standing there and I was lost.
