Calum's POV
Drama
@nickjonas you might have exaggerated just a bit don't you think? I wouldn't consider our first interactions as "hit it off pretty well" youtube.com/latelatejonasDrama
Grateful to be part of the Jonas family and team.
RT "joejonas huge thanks to @ryantedder, @drama and our whole team. Sucker is just the beginning of what we have to share with all of you!"Drama
the reaction to Sucker has been amazing! So proud of you boys! @jonasbrothers don't forget to watch the Jonas take over on @latelate this week!Drama
beyond proud to be part of this beautiful song and behind the scenes of this family reunion. I love all three of you with my whole heart @nickjonas @kevinjonas @joejonas. Can't wait for the fans to hear what else is to come. #suckerI'd fought with myself not to look her up for nearly a week, knowing it could very well disappoint me. But now seeing the only things she shares much about is work, I'm not sure if I'm disappointed or relieved I can't see the relationships she's had since ours. All her recent tweets are about the Jonas Brother reunion, but since she's credited on the song I'm not surprised by that. It's weird to see so many recognizable people tweeting her, following her, loving her work. I always knew she would do it, it was in her personality. But after wondering for years and years, to see it in front of me, the fact that she really did make it... I'm proud.
I scroll back to the tweet she posted this morning opening the video clip at the top, getting comfortable as it loads.
"Welcome back to late late Jonas this week, the boys are still here, and we are going to talk about Drama now. Not the crazy stuff fan's post online, but Drama! The hot new song writer who everyone wants writing their songs. How did you boys get your in with her? From what I hear she's been booked solid for the last while." James asks the boys.
"Well, I met her about the time she started getting attention." Nick laughs, "I was invited to a party back in summer 2016. She was there too, and we hit it off pretty well that night. Exchanged numbers and I told her I'd call her when I started my next project. I think, Kev, you met her next, right?" He turns.
"Uh, ya. I met her in September 2017, at an event that had nothing to do with music. Her and my wife hit it off extremely well, they are still close. So she was around our place quite a bit after that, and we became friends with her. Joe actually didn't meet her until after we started the writing process for the new album."
"Ya, Kev invited her to one of our first writing sessions, having known she was becoming higher in demand. Nick went white as a ghost when he saw her come in." Joe laughs.
"We had no idea she had met him prior. He likes to take credit for her being on our team, but after we got the story of the night they met, I can assure you he was not planning to call her. Luckily her and Danielle were best friends. So ya, that's how she ended up on our team." Kevin laughs.
"Just to clear things up, I would have called her." Nick laughs, "If it hadn't been a project with my brothers."
"So what's it like to work with her? She is pretty private online, not too much is known about her. All her tweets are in responce to work related things."
"She's great, part of the family at this point. Sophie, Priyanka, Danielle, even mom adores her. She is very private in her life, but she has reasons for that and we respect her choice." Joe nods.
"It's a little weird too though, because she is the most loud, straight forward and blunt human I've ever met. If we suggest something for the music and she doesn't like it, she will tell you straight up, no sugar coating. And then online she is silent except promotional tweets for whatever she is working on." Kevin laughs.
