Andi's POV

"You what?" I turn to Jane quickly, realizing as I do that she isn't joking.

"I don't know exactly how it happened. We were a little tipsy, but definitely not drunk enough to blame it all on that. We went back to the hotel after the reception last night, and we were just talking. And then laughing. And then kissing. And it escalated from there..."

"We wanted you two to enjoy the weekend but that wasn't exactly what we had in mind." I chuckle.

"Ya, me either." She sighs.

"Do you regret it?"

"No. It was great honestly. But what does it mean? Or does it not mean anything?"

"Do you want it to mean something?"

"I don't know. I only split with Grant two months ago, and Ash got dumped ever more recently, like barely a month ago. Is it too soon? They were both long and real relationships."

"So then chalk it up to finding comfort in each other and table it for a while, until you feel like it's been enough time for both of you and then if you're still thinking about it you can revisit the issue. You two are the only ones who know what you're thinking and if you think it would work out."

"Right now all I'm thinking is holy fuck I slept with my best friend and then we ignored the fact for twenty-four hours and I have no clue what he is thinking."

"And he's on a bus headed for Atlanta while you have a flight back to London in the morning."

"Exactly. I didn't know when or how to bring it up without making things awkward, and now I'm afraid the next time I see him it will be awkward because we didn't talk about it now."

"You could always call him."

"Not now! He's on a bus with five of our best friends. I can't call him up and be like, oh hey Ash, remember how we totally fucked last night and then didn't talk about it all day? Can we talk about it now where everyone can overhear? No way."

"Jane, calm down. It's going to be okay. You and Ashton are adults, and best friends. You will figure it out. Maybe it was just one night when your friendship took a deep dip and that's all. And maybe next time he sees you he will realize it wasn't just that, and so will you. You guys will figure it out. Just take a breath." I chuckle.

"I'm just shocked it happened I guess. I had to tell someone."

"You know I'll keep it secret if you want. Just take a breath you are twenty-two years old and you can handle this."

"Ya. Right. I'm an adult." She sighs.

"You know you didn't do anything wrong, right?" I chuckle.

"I know. I just sorta feel like I did a one night stand and I'm so not that girl."

"I don't think you can call it that when it's you and Ashton."

"If it was anyone else that's what you would call it."

"If it was anyone else it wouldn't have happened."

"You have a point." She sighs, "Alright, I'll let it go for now. I mean I'm not going to see him for a while anyway. Probably not again this year even. I don't have the time off to come out here again. I've been three times this year. It's your turn to come visit me don't you know?"

"We came and visited you this summer remember?" I chuckle, "Maybe Ash will come though, if he thinks too much about this. He might have some time after tour and nothing to do."
