The Widows Daughter

Part eighteen

Salvage yard somewhere in Africa.
(Chloe's POV)

I was sitting at the back of the jet massaging my leg from the other night.

I didn't remember much, but what I did, I didn't like.

I looked up at the legionnaires carrying me.

I glared at them as they flew North.

I swung my legs up wrapping them around one as it looked at me ripping my arm from the other one.

"Bye bye." I said as I phased through it causing the motherboard to fry.

As I slipped from its grasp I realized that I hadn't thought this plan out very well.

I was now plummeting towards the ground at a very, very fast pace.

I focused on the wind hoping to slow down a little bit, but it didn't work.

I turned in mid-air so that I was now facing the ground and saw a building.

Not my best idea, but it was better then plummeting to my death.

I aimed towards the building and watched as it came closer. Or I got closer. I'm guessing the latter.

Suddenly I slammed into the hard roof of the building with the wind knocked out of me.

"Ow." I coughed.

I sat up and looked behind me to see the other legionnaire coming at me.

This was going to be fun.

"Chloe!?" I jumped in my seat as I looked up to see mom kneeling in front of me.

"You okay?" She asked with worry in her eyes.

"Yeah. Just tired. I'll be fine." I told her.

It wasn't a lie. But I wasn't fine ether. My entire body hurt from the other night.

"Well we're almost there, so you might want to get ready." I nodded getting up.

I had on my new suit that Tony had made for me.

It was a black suit with dark red boots. I had a dark red jacket that I wore over it, and moms necklace that she gave me, along with the one Thor gave me.

I took one of the ear coms and put it in.

"Chloe, you know what to do. We'll take care of Ultron." Cap said motioning to himself, Tony, and Thor.

I crouched by the railing with Clint and mom waiting for the others to show up.

Anyone could tell that mom was nervous about me being back in the field, after the incident in Germany, and the other night, she wasn't very happy that I was here.

"I'll be fine." I told her and she looked at me.

"That's what you said last time; and look where that got you." I rolled my eyes at her.

"Everyone ready?" Cap asked through the coms and everyone said yes.

I watched as Ultron and the Maximoff twins walked out with Klaue; the guy Tony knew.
