Adelaide walked through the courtyard , when suddenly Hermione bumped in to her. Adelaide looked at Hermione and noticed that she was crying. She frowned, "Hermione, what's wrong?" Adelaide asks. Hermione just shook her head and ran off.

Adelaide debated if she should follow Hermione or not. She decided not to since it wasn't any of her business.

Later that day, Adelaide entered the Great Hall for dinner and walked to the Slytherin table to sit down next to Penelope. "I saw Hermione crying earlier," Adelaide tells Penelope. Penelope shrugs, "It's not our business." "I guess not," Adelaide said looking down at her plate of food. She looks up to see if she spots Hermione anywhere, but she couldn't find her. She wasn't with Harry and Ron either.

"I'll be right back," Adelaide said while getting up, but Penelope stops her by grabbing her arm. "You aren't going to get check up on Granger right?" Penelope said with a warning voice. "I just want to see if she's alright," Adelaide said, "I promise I'll be right ba-" "I advise you not to associate with them Adelaide," Penelope said harshly.

Before Adelaide could respond back, the doors of the Great Halls burst open.

"Troll in the Dungeon! Troll in the dungeon!!" Professor Quirrel cried. His outburst caused silence to spread across the room. "Thought you ought to know," he said before he faints.

Everyone then panics. "Silence!" Everyone stops, and turns to looks at the Headmaster, "Everyone please, don't panic. Now, Prefects will lead their house back to the dormitories. Teachers will follow me to the dungeons."

"What about us?" a Slytherin asked, "Our dorms are in the dungeons!" The Slytherin prefect then starts instructing the Slytherins where to go, "Listen up! Follow me, and don't get separated! We will be taking a different route!" he calls out.

Once we got to the Slytherin dorm, everyone had gone straight to their rooms. "How in the world did a troll get in the dungeons?!" Parkinson exclaimed. "Calm down Pansy," Daphne tells her. Parkinson wouldn't calm down, "Go to sleep will you?" Penelope said annoyed.

Adelaide doesn't pay much attention to the three girls arguing. She thinks back and wonders what's the deal that Penelope had and the three Gryffindors.

"Why are you so quiet Mudblood?" Parkinson said snapping Adelaide out of her train of thought, "Were you the one who let that troll in the dungeon?" Penelope rolls her eyes, "Adelaide was with me the whole time, how could she possible find a troll and led it into the dungeons?"

"I'm really tired, can we just go to sleep?" Daphne said annoyed with all the commotion. Adelaide agreed and slipped under her covers.

"We have our first Qudditch match today!" Penelope says excitedly, the next morning on their way to class, "Slytherin is for sure going to win!" Adelaide smiled at her. Penelope jumped around, when she accidently bumped into Malfoy. "Watch where you're going Clearwater," he said glaring at her.

He turned and looked at Adelaide who was at the side of Penelope. He gave her a look before he walked away.

Some Hufflepuffs were walking by, "Did you know Harry Potter and those other two Gryffindors beat the troll!" they gossiped. "Let's get to class Adelaide," Penelope said grabbing her hand.

They took their seat once they go to Professor Snape's class. Snape made them take notes of the lesson he taught. Adelaide noticed that Snape wasn't walking right, he was limping.

"I think Snape let the troll in so he could get past the three headed dog," Harry whispered to Ron and Hermione, "He got himself bitten, that's why he was limping." Adelaide turns around, "How can you be so sure?" Harry looked at Adelaide and Ron looks back and forth between them, he seems to be telling Harry something with his eyes. "The three headed dog is guarding something and Snape wants it," Harry explains. Ron rolled his eyes and went back to working. "What three headed dog?" Adelaide asks.
