"Where were you last night and this morning?" Draco asks Adelaide as she enters the Slytherin common room. He was impatiently waiting for her and immediately stood from the couch he was on when he heard her come in. He walks towards her, but Adelaide walks past him, without even looking up.

"Rosewood! I'm asking you a question! Where were you?" Draco demanded. "What for!?" Adelaide harshly turned around, giving him a cold stare. "He's been looking for you all night yesterday and all morning today," Blaise smirks from the couch. Adelaide's gaze softened and she turned back around, heading to her room.

Draco grabbed her arm stopping her, "What's wrong with you?" he asked with a hint of worry in his voice. "I'm fine, I'm tired, let me go," Adelaide tells him. Draco frowned, "I know you're not alright Rosewood." Adelaide harshly tugged her arm from Draco's grip, causing him to let go of her. "It's best for you to stay away from me Malfoy," Adelaide whispered loud enough for Draco to hear before she closed the door as she entered her dorm.

"She's gone bloody mad!" Draco exclaimed as he walked back to the couch and sat down. Blaise just shrugged. "Dracypoo, you have to put that mudblood in her place," Parkinson spoke up as she walked in the room, with Penelope beside her. "She's not that hard to control, but she's been acting rebellious lately," Penelope said. Draco gave a cold glare at the two. Parkinson's and Penelope headed to their room.

Once they entered, they saw Adelaide sitting on her bed looking out the window. Parkinson smirked. "Stay away from Draco mudblood, you'll never end up with him." Adelaide turned to her and sneered, "I wasn't planning to." "Stay in your place," Penelope adds. Adelaide scoffs and turns back to the window.

The next day, everyone gathered in the main hall. They were all eating and chatting, except Adelaide who was once again at the end of the table, just like how she started out in her first year. She glanced at Draco, only to notice that he's been looking at her the whole time, instead of talking to his friends. She quickly turned away and looked at Ron and Harry who were talking to each other.

Adelaide got up from the Slytherin table and made her way towards Harry and Ron. "Hey," she said as she stood behind them. Harry turned and grinned, "Hey." "May I join you guys," Adelaide asks them. "Sure," Harry replied and Adelaide sat down.

"Hermione!" Harry calls out once he saids he walking in the Great Hall. She runs towards them and hugs Harry. She turns to Ron to hug him but stops. They awkwardly shooks hands. "Welcome back Hermione," Ron tells her. She turns and looks at Adelaide. They look at each other and nod.

"Could I have your attention please," Mcgonagall speaks up silencing everyone. "Before we begin the feast, let us have a round of applause for Professor Sprout and Madam Pomfrey whose Mandrake juice has been successfully administered to all those who had been petrified." Everyone clapped and cheered.

The door then opens revealing Hagrid. "Sorry I'm late, the owl delivering' my release papers got all lost 'n confused," Hagrid explains. Harry looks at Ron as Ron looks down embarrassed. Hagrid then looks down at the golden trio. "I'd just like to say that if it hadn't been for you, Harry, Ron, and Hermione, I uh, I'd still be you know where, so I'd just like to say thanks," Hagrid said.

"Adelaide helped as well," Harry speaks up and smiled at Adelaide. She slightly widened her eyes and looked at him. She quickly glanced at Draco who drowned. Adelaide turned back and gave Harry and small smile.

Hagrid looked at her, "So you're the girl Harry's been talkin' bout." Adelaide looked back at Harry and tilted her head to the side. "Hagrid," Harry whined looking away. Hagrid smiled, "Thank you Miss Rosewood."

"There's no Hogwarts without you Hagrid," Hermione said as all the students, except some Slytherins, gather around to give him a hug. Adelaide slowly walked away from the heartwarming scene and made her way back to the end of the Slytherin table.

The next day Adelaide looked for an empty compartment. She opened a door to what she thought was an empty compartment and came face to face with Draco. She immediately shut the door in his face and quickly looked for another compartment. Draco opened the door again and looked to his sides to see where Adelaide went. He grabbed her arm, before she opened another compartment door and turned her around to face him.

"What's up with you?" Draco asked. "Malfoy, I thought I told you to stay away from me," Adelaide replied calmly. "Well what if I don't want to?!" Adelaide looked at him confused, "What?" Draco looked down. "What if I don't want to stay away... from you," he said softly and looked back up, into her eyes.

Adelaide felt her heart beating fast as Draco looked into her eyes. Adelaide looked to the side. "Then that's your problem to deal with, not mine," she responded. He let her go and watched her walk away. As he felt his heart sting, it quickly turned into anger. "Alright, have it your way then, you filthy little mudblood," he snapped. Adelaide froze and tears started to stream down her face. It has been awhile since Draco has called her a Mudblood, and it hurt her heart hearing him call her one.

"Hope you have a great summer Malfoy," was all she said as she entered an empty compartment, leaving Draco standing alone in the hall.
