As everyone else was at Hogsmeade, Adelaide was in the common room. She was bored, so she set the book she had in her hand down and decided to wander around the castle to see what she could find.

"Umph-" Adelaide let out a noise as she bumped into someone's back when she turned the corridor.

"I'm sorry, are you okay?" Harry asked as he grabbed her shoulders to steady her. Adelaide regained her senses and nodded, "Sorry, I wasn't looking at where I was going."

"Why aren't you at Hogsmeade like everyone else?" Harry asked her. "Oh, well I kinda forgot to ask my parents to sign the permission form," she replied. "What about you?" "Really? Me too, I forgot to get it signed." He gave her a grin.

The two continued talking as they headed to the Great Hall to take a seat. They weren't the only ones in there, a few other students that didn't go to Hogsmaede were also in there as well.

"–and Ron ran into the doorpost spilling all the beans on the floor." Harry was telling her what had happened a few nights ago, when the boys were playing a game. Adelaide covered her mouth gasping and laughed.

"Uhm," Harry cleared his throat to find his voice to ask Adelaide a question he's been dying to ask. "Yes?" Adelaide looked at him curiously. Harry felt himself slightly begin sweating of how nervous he was. "I have something to ask you, b-but I don't know how to phrase it," he stuttered.

Adelaide raised her eyebrows with a questioning face. Harry took a deep breath before he opened his mouth to speak again. "You and Malfoy," he started quietly, "are you two... you know, together?"

Adelaide's face scrunched in disbelief. "Bloody hell Harry, why would you think that?" Harry felt relief wash over him. "Then," he began again, "I know we don't talk much we used to, but would like to go out with me?"

Both of their cheeks flushed red once those words came out of his mouth. Adelaide quickly looked down to her side, not knowing how to respond. The image of Draco flashed into her mind, but she shook it out of her mind. Should I give him a chance? Adelaide thought.

Adelaide sighed before she looked up to him. "I, uhm," Adelaide started. Harry looked at her intently with a small smile on his face as he waited for her answer.

Adelaide signed again and closed her eyes, thinking what to say. "I, Harry, I don't know," Harry's face fell. Adelaide saw this and quickly added, "Can you give me some time?"

Harry looked into her eyes and nodded his head. "Uh, sure, of course."

Later that day, all the students that went to Hogsmaede returned to Hogwarts. After Harry asked Adelaide out, she made up an excuse that she needed to finish some late homework. She couldn't stand how awkward and uncomfortable Harry has made it between the two of them. Harry offered to help her, but Adelaide denied. Then she quickly headed back to the Slytherin common room.

The common room doors opened, showing the returning Slytherins. Adelaide looked up from the book she was previously reading, as everyone came in. She spotted Blaise talking to Daphne.

"Hey!" Blaise called out to her, "How come you didn't go?" He pouted his lips. "I couldn't go," Adeaide replied back.

Draco and Pansy entered the common room shortly after. Pansy went straight to the dorm without looking up at them. Adelaide frowned and looked at Daphne, giving her a 'what's wrong with her' look. Daphne shrugged. "Um, I'll go check on her," Daphne told them and Adelaide gave her a small nod.

Adelaide's eyes then focused on Draco who hasn't spoken a word. He was sitting in the sofa across from her and Blaise, with his arms crossed and his eyes looking down. "Soo, how'd it go?" Adelaide asked giving him small smile.

Adelaide saw his jaw clench. Blaise also spotted this. "Dude, is everything alright?" he asked him. "It went fine, everything is fine," Draco said forcely. Adelaide frowned. She knew something wasn't right. She sighed and looked at Blaise. Blaise looked at her and gave her a weak smile.

"So did anything interesting happen when we were gone?" Blaise asked her changing the topic. "Oh, well," Adelaide bit her lip. Should I tell them? She thought to herself. She swallowed before she spoke. "I got asked out," she said quietly.

Draco immediately looked up to her as his breath stilled. He could feel himself slowly getting angry. "Oh? By who?" Blaise asked her and frowned, taking a glance a Draco, but quickly looked back at her, replaced it with a smile.

Adelaide looked away. The room was dead silent, and the only thing that was heard was . the crackling wood from the fireplace. She bit her lip before she quietly said, almost close to a whisper, the two words that made Draco's blood boil.

"Harry Potter."
