BLUE

‘Blue, please talk to me.’ –Jake

‘Blue, please, it’s not what you think’

‘Damnit Blue please’

‘Blue, we need to talk.’

I deleted all of the two hundred messages from Jake.

‘How are you?’ –Alex

‘I’m better now. Rex won’t leave my side. How did I get back here?’

‘I carried you :P’

‘How? I weigh a ton.’

‘No you don’t. You are light as a feather and adorable when you sleep.’

I blushed. Rex was reading the texts over my shoulder. He had an arm slung across my shoulders while I leaned on his chest.

“Hey Blue,” Rex said.

“Yeah?” I asked, looking up at him. He bit his lip and looked down, blushing. “Uh oh.” I muttered.

“Um, I have a boyfriend… and he’s coming over in ten minutes…”

“What? Oh my god I am so happy for you! How long have you known him?”

His eyes glazed over and he was smiling like a maniac. “Well, I’ve known him for two weeks now, but it was love at first sight.” He gushed. I smiled at him.

“Pop quiz.”

He groaned.

“His favorite color?”

“Grey and teal”

“Book?”

“les Mis”

“Anime?”

“Death note”

“fish?”

“Betta”

“That’s a pet fish.”

“I know. He’s a vegetarian.”

“Awww.”

There was a knock on the door. Rex shot up and sprinted to the door. He hit it with a solid thump and opened it to reveal a guy about his height with dark blonde hair styled up in a curly wave. He had two eyebrow piercings. I noticed how he had his hands stuffed in the pockets of his blue jeans. He was nervous. I smirked. Good. He wore a pair of old vans and a skater shirt with a leather jacket.

My first impression was that he was a skater.

I was right. A worn and used skateboard leaned against the door. Mystery guy hugged Rex.

“Hi, I’m Adam.” He said.

“Hi.” I said. I glanced at Rex. He grinned at me. “I’m Blue.”

“So I’ve heard.” He said, smiling.

“Can we speak alone?” I asked Adam. Rex frowned at me but left the room and closed the door behind him.

“Sit.” I motioned to the bed. Adam sat down.

“One moment.”

I got up and walked over to the door. Then, I gave it a solid kick.

“OWWWWW!” Rex yelped. I grinned.

“That’s what you get for trying to listen in.” I growled. I flipped my hair and sat down beside Adam.

“Do you like my brother?” I asked.

“Yeah. A lot.” He grinned.

“Do you see yourself with him in the future? Raising a family?”

“Yeah.” He grinned.

“Okay. But so help me god, if you hurt him I will rip off your balls and feed them to the wolves. Then I will dissect you and tie you to a post with your entrails and let the crows eat you alive. This is swear.” He gulped, eyes wide. I smiled brightly at him.

“Okay, Rex.” I said.

Rex came in the room. He looked at his boyfriend and glared at me.

“What did you do?” He demanded.

I shrugged. “Protected you.”
