BLUE

I was allowed to go home the day after I woke up. Somehow, my body had healed quickly. Jake and Rex met me at the doors of the hospital, since they weren’t allowed in.

“Hey Jake.” I grinned. He smiled and opened his arms.

“Hey Blue. How are you feeling?”

“Tired.” I replied honestly, pulling away from the hug. He passed me off to Rex, who gave me a tight hug.

“Hey baby girl.” Rex smiled.

“Hey big bro.” I smiled. Jake slid my tiny backpack of stuff onto his shoulder. Rex suddenly picked me up. He grinned down at me. Jake shifted into his massive midnight black wolf and grinned at me. Rex placed me on Jake’s back. I locked my legs behind his back and my arms around his neck, my fingers in the soft white blaze of fur on his chest. I put my head on his shoulder as Rex shifted and took my backpack in his mouth. Jake took off. I tightened my grip, feeling his muscles flex under me. Rex ran beside us, close enough to jump into a fight, but far enough away to allow Jake room to run.

We arrived at Jake’s pack house within the hour. Jake let me slide off of his back. He shook out his fur and shifted back. Rex dropped my bag and shifted.

“Hey, Blue?” Jake asked. I stopped and turned back to look at him.

“Yeah?”

He hesitated, then shook his head. “Never mind. C’mon, I’ll show you to your room.”

I frowned at him, but followed anyway. He led me up the steps to a room with a view of the forest. It had black walls and my posters already up.

“I hope you don’t mind. When we heard that Alex was moving to Russia, we took the liberty of moving your stuff in for you. Rex took care of your clothes…”

“Thank you.” I murmured, hugging Jake tightly. He tensed for a second, but hugged me back. Warmth ran between us. My skin tingled where it had touched his. I ignored the feelings and jumped, back first onto the super comfy bed with my wolf blanket on it.

I spent the rest of the day curled up next to Rex, with Jake in his wolf form as my pillow. We watched movies and pigged out on ice cream, which I had a weird craving for. It was a good day.

ALEX

Two days came and passed. I had left a note for Blue with Rex. He promised that he would give it to her if she regained her memory. Snow and I left for Russia that same day. Snow got sick on the jet over the ocean. She spent the full ride in the bathroom. I was so out of it that I could hardly move. Once we had landed, I had a bit of strength. The next day, my blood sister Isabella visited us in the hospital. She stayed for a few hours before leaving.
